E11 0001 Joplin MO and Galena KS on Route 66 41

This entire series was filmed during late summer of 2010.Many of the personalities still can be found but many others have moved on. This series will tell you of history, it will show attractions, it will make you laugh and cry. This is the Mother Road. Follow us as we reveal American's main street. In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we continue with the Vince Lindstrom tour of Joplin (all this was taken before that destructive tornado.) We saw the Sultan of Smoke BBQ, the Joplin Museum, and the Carousel Park. Then it was off to Galena Kansas: we met with Renee Charles who was our guide and historian. She and her family operate the four Women on the Route service station and attraction that features Mater from Cars. This town has haunted houses, ghost murals, and abandoned ruins to explore.
