Deer Broadsides Motorcycle, Driver Crashes, Flown From Scene, BLANCHARD, April 6, 2022 - At approximately 7 pm on April 6, 2022, a red Harley Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Tina Adams, 53, of Shepherd, was east-bound in the 2243 block of FM-3126 (less than a half mile off FM-2457, Blanchard Baptist). A young deer sprang from the grass and broadsided Adams on her right side. The collision caused Adams to lose control of her motorcycle. Her bike left the pavement to the right. The bike turned over in a ditch, Adams was ejected, she was not wearing a helmet. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene, along with Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, and Trooper Donny Akers with the Texas Highway Patrol. Adams was lying on her back as EMS personnel surrounded her. She was transported by ambulance to FM-3126 next to Blanchard Baptist Church where an landing zone was set up. An Air Life medical helicopter landed on 2457. Adams was flown to Conroe with serious injuries. No citations were issued. Adams' motorcycle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
