Welcome to my Rumble! I am the one who everyone calls Nutty Hiker. I am a pro photographer, journalist, writer, & face behind the blog Nutty Hiker Adventures, where I talk about everything from hiking to exploring the great outdoors via our RV and road trips. I have been a military wife (husband now retired) for 20 years. I am also a Mom of 4 adult children. My youngest has autism and is also my hiking/backpacking buddy. He is always ready for any adventure I throw at him. I have been hiking for over 20 years. In Feb 2020 I attempted a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, but the world had other plans and I had to return home. My thru-hike of the AT has been postponed to 2025 when my husband and I will do it together. Until then I will start tackling the shorter long trails to mark those off my list. #Backpacking #Hiking #Outdoors #AppalachianTrail

Math and Geometry

Math and geometry, two intertwined disciplines that have shaped the very foundation of our understanding of the world. From the intricate patterns in nature to the awe-inspiring architectural wonders, math and geometry play a pivotal role in unraveling the mysteries of the universe. At its core, mathematics is the language of patterns and relationships. It provides us with the tools to quantify, measure, and analyze the world around us. From the tiniest subatomic particles to the vast cosmic expanses, mathematics enables us to comprehend the complexities of our reality. Geometry, on the other hand, is the study of shapes, sizes, and spatial relationships. It delves into the fundamental principles of symmetry, proportion, and angles. Through geometry, we explore the harmony and balance present in the natural world, as well as in the man-made structures that stand as testaments to human ingenuity. The fusion of math and geometry has fueled countless innovations throughout history. It has guided architects in designing breathtaking buildings, engineers in constructing robust bridges, and artists in creating captivating works of art. The application of these disciplines spans across diverse fields, from astronomy and physics to biology and economics. In the realm of science, math and geometry have been instrumental in formulating theories and conducting experiments. From Isaac Newton's laws of motion to Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, mathematics has been the driving force behind some of the most groundbreaking scientific discoveries. Moreover, math and geometry have a profound impact on our everyday lives. They underpin advancements in technology, finance, medicine, and many other spheres of modern society. From the algorithms that power our smartphones to the geometric principles used in medical imaging, their influence is ubiquitous. Beyond their practical applications, math and geometry inspire wonder and fascination. They challenge us to seek elegance and simplicity in the midst of complexity. The beauty of a perfectly symmetrical flower or the mesmerizing patterns in a kaleidoscope exemplify the inherent grace of mathematical concepts. As we delve deeper into the intricacies of math and geometry, we unlock a world of possibilities and limitless potential. They encourage us to think critically, problem-solve creatively, and uncover the hidden order in the seemingly chaotic world. In the pursuit of knowledge and understanding, math and geometry serve as guiding stars, illuminating our path towards a deeper appreciation of the wonders that surround us.
