We are currently growing logistics for many areas of the world. It takes time and support! We are working to get the help, to the areas of the world that are normally ignored by Western media and Western charities. Information and awareness, are just as important to us, as donations. Therefore, please share and tell others about us, in order to help the awareness grow! If you are financially sound and are able to spare one or two dollars, we appreciate the donations as well. Let us all work together to bring about a warmer world, just like the sun does for us

Once upon a time, the idea of restoring ghost towns seemed like a pipe dream. The abandoned buildings and dusty streets were an eyesore to the once-vibrant communities that called these places home. But that's where the Eco Village Engine came in. With a team of passionate and innovative thinkers, the Eco Village Engine set out to breathe new life into these forgotten places. Their approach was two-fold: creating co-op artisan shops for low income business start-ups, and using recycled waste and natural materials from the land for raw materials. The co-op artisan shops were the heartbeat of the Eco Village Engine's plan. These shops gave low-income entrepreneurs a chance to start their own businesses and contribute to the revitalization of the town. Each shop would be owned and operated by the people who worked there, creating a strong sense of community ownership and investment. But the Eco Village Engine knew that simply creating businesses wasn't enough. They needed to do it in a way that was environmentally conscious and sustainable. That's where the use of recycled waste and natural materials came in. The team scoured the abandoned buildings and the surrounding land for anything that could be repurposed. Old wood beams became shelves and display cases. Discarded metal became light fixtures and jewelry stands. Even the soil and clay from the land were used to create pottery and other handmade goods. Not only did this approach reduce waste and minimize environmental impact, but it also created a unique and authentic aesthetic for the artisan shops. The products sold within these shops were one-of-a-kind, reflecting the history and character of the town. And so, the Eco Village Engine's plan was put into motion. Co-op artisan shops opened up throughout the ghost towns, offering everything from handcrafted jewelry to locally-sourced produce. The towns were given a new lease on life, with bustling streets and a renewed sense of pride in their community. The Eco Village Engine's success proved that it is possible to create a sustainable economy while simultaneously preserving history and supporting local entrepreneurs. They showed that with a little innovation and a lot of heart, anything is possible. https://www.wanderersend.org/

"When we are successful and rewarded after working hard, we naturally believe that such success and its reward are the results of our efforts and we overlook everything else".

"It is not a sport when there is no relationship between effort and success. It is not a sport when success is guaranteed from the start. It is not a sport if it doesn't matter if you lose." With these words, Pep Guardiola quickly predicted the spectacular failure of the project to create a new elite competition for top European football clubs. The main sporting novelty of the European Super League (ESL), and its most controversial feature, was that the league would be closed or semi-closed. In other words, a handful of (rich) clubs wanted to start a new league where they could play against each other every year without having to earn the right to play. Leaving other considerations aside, the main counterargument, unanimously repeated by the football (and political!) establishment, was meritocratic and perfectly reflected in Guardiola's words. This reaction exemplifies with remarkable fidelity the thesis put forward by American philosopher Michael Sandel in his latest book, The Tyranny of Merit. As I commented in a previous post on Esade Do Better, in this book Sandel makes a critical analysis of meritocracy as a hegemonic criterion of fairness in modern capitalist societies, and he considers this hegemony problematic and even perverse. Reviewing some of his theses in the light of the ESL controversy reveals an interesting parallel between football and society when assessing the issues of effort, talent, inequality, and fairness. When we are successful and rewarded after working hard, we naturally believe that such success and its reward are the results of our efforts and we overlook everything else.
