While Motu lives to eat, Patlu isn't too fond of food, but is constantly up to some new idea or the other . Every time an idea clicks in Patlu's head, a tiny bulb ignites on the screen. His 'idea' syndrome is responsible for quite a few of their troubles. This is how in their own endearing style they emerge out as heroes, solving the problems of residents of Furfuri nagar is the basic plot line of the show.
