I am Joshua Bishiop. I have been a research scientist at a national laboratory, a reverse engineer, a published poet, the CEO and CTO of several successful Tech Startups, and a high level consultant to Fortune 100 companies. In this show I will apply what I learned in all of these areas to world events, the systems that connect our institutions, history, symbolism and more. Through pattern matching, systems thinking, and reverse engineering I will demonstrate ways of looking at these things differently than what you might hear elsewhere. This show is a-political, I don't care about any particular party or candidate, it's non-ideological although I have my own biases, and I promise to always tell you the truth as I know it to be, while changing my mind as I get more information and owning it when I realize I'm wrong. I'm a patent attorney, entrepreneur, and inventor who has 15 years of experience in the patent space. I've worked on patent portfolios that have been licensed for 8 figures, patent portfolios that helped companies raise a 9 figure funding round, and patent portfolios that helped form a unicorn ($1B acquisition). Throughout my experience, one thing is clear. There is generally a disconnect between the C-level at a company and the outside counsel tasked with protecting the company's patentable technology.
