Football is the world\'s most popular sport. It takes root in several old games, such as medieval soule, but it was not until the first written game codes of the nineteenth century (1848) to see it emerge as a sport in its own right. Since the founding of the English federation in 1863, the development of football has been such that it is today considered the king sport in the world. One of the cornerstones of football is the simplicity of its regulations, which have only seventeen “laws of the game” over which the International Board watches over. FIFA, an international federation established in 1904, ensures the uniform application of the same laws of the game throughout the planet.
