We are Mike, Amanda, with Ava & Elena, and Hunter (our dog) In mid-2022, we packed up our family and moved North in Ontario, near Nipissing. We are taking you on our journey to create a sustainable life for our family building a homestead, from scratch. We bought 37 acres of forest, and are building a life we don't need a vacation from. We begin, in 2023, by building our house and gardens. Then we'll start getting more animals and building a shop, and barn. We had it all, property, a house, stuff...lots of stuff and debt. $1000s of dollars worth of debt. We were constantly broke, mentally bankrupt and had little time for each other. Something had to change. We began to sell off unneeded possessions to pay off our debt and utilize the resources we had to the best of our ability.
