My name is Randy Helm. Welcome to this channel. For those that do not know me, I have my bachelor’s degree from Drake University, my MBA from the University of Iowa, and have my CPA. I have been in accounting for more than 20 years and have held such positions of Accounting Analyst, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer. The aim of this channel is to provide you with fundamental accounting education, but NOT to help you become an accountant. This channel is for everyone else - the non-Accountants. It is for the small business owners. It is also for managers who receive various accounting reports and are responsible for a department or division within a company. I will explain some of the key terms you will need to know. I will NOT dig into accounting theory, the history of accounting, nor bog you down with debits and credits. Unless you are going into the field of accounting, much of that will not matter to you. In short, I want to give you knowledge to let you manage your business.
