The world is changing. It is being challenged more now than at any other time in history. And it’s being challenged by humankind. We owe it to the planet and each other to do all we can to take care of this Earth. First of all, this is our home. It shelters us and takes care of us—it makes us possible. Secondly, we do not have the right to jeopardize another person’s quality of life. We at least owe it to each other to not destroy this amazing place we call Earth, our home. This channel is about raising awareness of the endangered ecosystems that are found around the world. We explore the science of climate change, what we know, and, more importantly, what we don’t know. To understand climate change better, we need to understand better how the Earth works. For example, we can ask questions: how do we take care of wildlife in a changing climate? How do we not make it worse? How do we take care of each other? Maybe if we answer just one of those questions, the others will get answered too. The world is an amazing place; our lives are a gift. We hope you come along with us for the adventure of discovery.

Welcome to my Rumble! I am the one who everyone calls Nutty Hiker. I am a pro photographer, journalist, writer, & face behind the blog Nutty Hiker Adventures, where I talk about everything from hiking to exploring the great outdoors via our RV and road trips. I have been a military wife (husband now retired) for 20 years. I am also a Mom of 4 adult children. My youngest has autism and is also my hiking/backpacking buddy. He is always ready for any adventure I throw at him. I have been hiking for over 20 years. In Feb 2020 I attempted a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, but the world had other plans and I had to return home. My thru-hike of the AT has been postponed to 2025 when my husband and I will do it together. I'm a middle aged guy who frequents in being a weekend warrior for adventure! I wanted to share my passion for exploring & hopefully inspire others to seek out adventures themselves. There really is beauty all around us, it just depends where you are looking! I enjoy editing, filming and exploring my videography hobby. I like making hiking videos and trail reviews as part of my adventure. This was originally to share my experiences with family and friends scattered throughout the world, but has now turned into a sort of passion. Lumber River Canoe Club lumberrivercanoeclub@groups.io The Lumber River Canoe Club was created in 1982 so that canoeists and kayakers could share their enjoyment of the Lumber River and other area rivers. We are located in southeastern North Carolina. We meet on the second Tuesday of every second month to schedule floats and other activities. The schedule will be posted on this page. Members may also post messages and photos of general interest to paddlers.
