St. John Lutheran Church & School - Random Lake

We are God's people gathered to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the means of the Spirit. Our mission is to respond with activities that directly strengthen the Christian faith. St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Missouri Synod congregation (LCMS). In the early 1850\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s, a group of emigrants from Germany settled in Town Sherman and held Lutheran worship services in their log-hut homes. God the Holy Trinity continues to bless St. John Lutheran Church as He has always done through her 165-year history in Sherman Center. While the names and faces have changed, God continues to keep His promise to call, gather, enlighten, and sanctify us through His Word and Spirit. Fifteen pastors preached, taught, baptized, and delivered Christ’s body and blood. Countless teachers taught the children of the congregation and community. Faithful laymen and laywomen gave freely to the congregation’s mission, governance, facilities, fellowship, and acts of service.

Fifth Vision Church Media Ministries

Why Fifth Vision? Church today has become irrelevant for a large portion of our nation and the world. Programs have replaced ministry. Friendliness has replaced love. Being relevant has replaced true life change. In places Church still draws a crowd. But where is the fire, the love, the spirit of God in Christians beyond the Church walls? Why are people not being healed and set free from past hurts and addictions? Why aren't people turning from their sins? Why aren't people finding God's purpose for them? It's baffling that no one inside the Church seems to notice or even care. In Revelations Chapter 3, Jesus warned us that this day would come. A day when the Church would be powerless, spiritless and blind to itself. Church today makes being a Christian easy. We do everything for you. Sit back and enjoy the show. Let us meet your every need. Is that the key to changing your life and unlocking God's purpose for you? Is that the way God intended it? Is that the answer? Actually... NO. Jesus' gift of Salvation is free. Saving the world is why Jesus came. His purpose WASN'T to make it EASY - but to make it POSSIBLE. There was nothing easy about the cross Jesus bore for mankind. Jesus' death and resurrection makes it possible' for us to be saved, to be one with God, to have the power to change ourselves and to change the world. Transformation (change) can be messy. It's not easy, but in Jesus, it is possible. That is what makes it REAL. Transformation is more than sitting through a sermon series. It's more than sitting through a discipleship class. Our goal, our purpose at FIFTH VISION, is not to make it easy, But to make it Real.
