Welcome to That British Homestead, My name is Nik, you host here. We grow our own food in Essex, Zone 9a. I love sharing what we grow, how we grow it and all the mistakes and adventure along the way! We are passionate about organic gardening, saving seeds, growing our own food. We grow from seed and get a little better at growing each year! We have two allotments, cultivate our back and front gardens! We keep ducks, chickens and turkeys. We have a dog called Bailey and a child called Jasmine who are fantastic helpers! Welcome to Howling Echoes Homestead, we are Jim and Jodi, and along with our dogs and cats, we moved from central Minnesota up to Northern Minnesota in December of 2020. We live on 130 acres surrounded by state forest to our East and West and the Superior National Forest to our North. We are building our off-grid homestead and creating a new adventure for us doing everything we can ourselves and setting ourselves up to be as self-sufficient as possible.
