Mother City Pucker (African Ice Hockey Safari)

Welcome to Mother City Pucker! I’m Glen Eric Huysamer, also known as The Mother City Pucker, a passionate Master's "beer" league ice hockey player from the stunning city of Cape Town—the Mother City of Africa. My love for skating started back in 1971, and this channel is all about sharing that passion while celebrating the unique ice hockey community here in Cape Town. Through Mother City Pucker, I aim to highlight the incredible talent in our local ice hockey scene, share entertaining skating content, and challenge the notion that ice sports can’t thrive in Africa. This is Cape Town’s own version of Hockey Illustrated—a one-man production featuring filming, editing, storytelling, and a deep dive into the history of the game, all brought to you by Glen IV Productions. If you enjoy the content and want to support the growth of ice hockey in our region, I encourage you to connect directly with the Western Province Ice Hockey Association through the link below. Your support can help them expand the sport, nurture new talent, and ensure its future growth in the greater Cape Town area. And, of course, if you like what you see here, feel free to contribute to the growth of this channel to help keep the fun rolling. In addition to showcasing ice hockey, I’ll share skating videos—on and off the ice—along with glimpses of our city’s beauty and its vibrant surroundings, as connected to my personal insights and endeavors as time allows. Thank you for joining me on this journey to celebrate Cape Town’s hockey and skating culture. Let’s have some fun, make some memories, and continue building something special for our community and beyond. Hit that follow button and let’s get started!
