I picked up fishing again after moving from Chicago to Las Vegas in 2017. When I moved to Michigan in 2020, it opened up a whole new world of fishing, new species to target, and new things to learn. YouTube videos were so inspiring to me when I started up fishing again and they helped me learn faster than I would have on my own. I enjoyed watching fishing on YT so much that I decided to get a GoPro and document my own fishing journey. I am humbled every day by the new things I learn about fishing - while having a good time doing what I love.

McFly Angler is all about fishing. I love to fish all types of fishing. Mainly fly fishing, but do conventional fishing as well on occasion. I used to live in Colorado, and did a lot of small creek and river fishing for trout of all sizes. From small dry fly fishing for tiny creek brook-trout and cutthroat, to large river fishing for monster brown trout, I did it all. However I recently moved to Texas where I now fish rivers and creeks for warm water species like bass, sunfish, catfish, and carp. Also the gulf of Mexico is close by, so I do try and pop down there once in a while for speckled trout and redfish on the fly. I also teach people how to tie flies on this channel. From simple flies to complicated flies, from dry flies to saltwater flies. I tie them all. I usually have my videos come out on Fridays, so mark your calendars and come by every week to check out my videos.
