Lots of people suffer from psychosis where it is common for people to exhibit delusionary thought; lots of people think stuff that cannot be proved to be true, is in fact true. As a result of delusionary thought many scientific claims regarding the natural world also cannot be proven to be true like globe Earth or water being H2O or air has constituents. Looking at other areas of man's world we see the same deluded thought patterns appearing in many areas like religion, education, politics etc. People think so many things are true but none of those things they think are true have ever been proven to be true.
