Hi, I'm Friar Tuck. After losing my business I have decided to go on an Epoch to find myself. Along my journey I have talked about what it is like to be a bohemian. At first I was traveling on bike doing the Southern Tier bike route, but a hurricane caused me to stop in Gainesville, FL where I met some cool people before I continued on my epoch journey. From there I decided to start hiking the Eastern Continental Trail from Florida to Maine. Along the way I met even more interesting people who influenced me on my epoch journey. I managed to complete the Florida Trail, Alabama Road Walk and Pinhoti trails before I got sick and had to stop in Chattanooga. While in Tennessee I met an individual who took me under his wing as my mentor. As my mentor he is showing me what the digital economy really is, introducing me to Linux and showing me a different way to live as a bohemian. Hi! We're Matt and Kristina. We are Clarity Off-Grid. It has become very clear to Matt as he pursued his dream of traveling that he should use his talents as a natural builder to create a home on wheels for us to travel. We have always found peace and clarity when we are most connected to the cycles and rhythms of Nature. And that is why Kristina, a residential structural engineer, left her career in 2010 and built a self-sustaining, off-grid home with her two sons. Like Matt's dream of traveling, Kristina's vision of creating this home for her family was crystal clear. This magical home is not only beautiful, whimsical, and fun, but it heats and cools itself, generates its power, collects and heats its household water, and manages its waste in an environmentally responsible way. Together, we have years of design and building knowledge that we openly wish to share with the world to make this planet a better place for us and for those who follow.

Welcome to Off Grid in the City, Suburbs. Can we live comfortably in icy winter or hot summer conditions, are we prepared and ready? In 2003 peak summer many in Canada and US experienced blackout for 2-7 days, we had no power of 4days. Then 10years later in 2013 peak winter, icy rain hit Southern Ontario and many experienced blackout for 2-14days, we had no power for just over 3 days. Temperature dropped quickly, doors frozen shut, no cooking, no heating, unable to helped our aged neigbors. It was ridiculous how unprepared we were. Since then and without breaking the bank, we started this project. "Off the Grid in the suburbs" - it is really "Living off the Grid when the power goes down." This is a project my son and I worked on. We are Christians who love Yeshua and know we need to help each other.
