Michael is a self taught day trader. I started this adventure several years ago when I was given the option of buying stocks in an IPO with the company I worked for. Unfortunately, the IPO failed and I lost all of my investment. My second entry was purchasing stocks in another company I worked for.. I watched those stocks fall from $18 to $1 and it left me wondering how can people make money with stocks. I followed a few stocks to see how they move and soon lost interest. Many years later, a friend gave me a hot tip about a penny stock, so I invested $500 to see what would happen. The stock soon stopped trading and I lost all of that investment. Another aquaintence told me how he was going to take an online day trading course that cost several thousand dollars but assured me that it would be worth it. I was cheap and instead watched as many videos as I could about chart patterns and trading psychology.
