Arkansas Language and Culture is a very different kind of school. We teach adult immigrants to speak English. We are committed to natural learning. No lectures, no testing, no rules or restrictions. Our classes are very social and all learning is through small group interactive projects. Learn by doing. Learn by direct experience, learn exactly the way kids learn their first language. This approach does more than teach language, it teaches cultural assimilation. We are growing a crop of new Americans. Not trapped in their enclaves, but acquainted with our history and culture. If the American Indians and the freed slaves had been brought into the fold in this way, think how much poverty and waste of potential might have been avoided? On this channel you will find some of our student projects and activities. Everything you see here will demonstrate the kind of engagement our approach generates.
