Today I want to cover the best and worst foods for arthritis. This includes rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other “-itises.” Foods to avoid for arthritis: • Fruits • Nuts (except walnuts) • Beans • Whole grains • Sugar • Refined grains • Trans fats • Hydrogenated foods • Seed oils • Canned foods (except sardines or cod liver) • Powdered protein • High-oxalate foods It’s typically recommended to avoid eggs, red meat, and dairy if you have arthritis. However, it’s important to understand that grain-fed animals have a very different omega-6 to omega-3 ratio than organic grass-fed, pasture-raised, or wild-caught fish and animals. Organic grass-fed whole milk kefir or organic grass-fed raw milk cheese may also be better choices than typical dairy products. The best foods for arthritis: • Wild-caught fatty fish • Seafood • Pasture-raised organic eggs • Fermented vegetables (especially cabbage) It’s also important to add intermittent fasting to your diet plan. It’s not just about what you eat but the frequency you eat that’s important in getting rid of arthritis. Lose Flabby Arm Fat: The Best Solution
Dr. Eric BergWatch this video to learn how to eliminate flabby arm fat and improve your overall upper-body strength. DATA: https://youtu.be/Y346900i9qE https://youtu.be/rUD7Gml5Veo https://youtu.be/-_TyvArPYJo 0:00 Introduction: Understanding the root cause of flabby arm fat 0:31 Sarcopenia and age-related muscle loss 1:02 The role of fascia in maintaining arm shape and function 2:57 The importance of functional exercises 3:13 Recommended arm workout videos to enhance fascial health and muscle strength Flabby arms can be a frustrating problem for many individuals, especially as they age. The loss of muscle mass and strength in this area can not only affect physical appearance but also limit daily activities and overall quality of life. In addition to sarcopenia, the process of age-related muscle loss, flabby arms can also be caused by weakened fascia. Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles and other structures in the body. Without proper maintenance and movement, it can become tight or restricted, leading to a decreased range of motion and weakness in the associated muscles. This is why targeting both the muscles and fascia is crucial for effectively improving flabby arms. Functional exercises, which involve multi-joint movements that mimic everyday tasks, are key to targeting muscle and fascial health. Working multiple muscles and joints at once helps strengthen and activate the surrounding fascia, which can lead to tighter, more toned arms with improved strength and function. To incorporate exercises into your routine to help improve the fascia, I recommend trying out the three workout videos linked above. These videos focus on a variety of movements that target the arms, shoulders, and fascia for a well-rounded approach to flabby arm reduction. You Will Never Get High Blood Pressure after Watching This Video
Dr. Eric BergAfter watching this video, you may never have high blood pressure again! Find out about the root cause of hypertension. Vitamin D Toxicity: ▶️ https://youtu.be/H_U5QRk_Wrc ▶️ https://youtu.be/-f4XYmrWIas ▶️ https://youtu.be/uAfVC4l5uZ0 0:00 Introduction: Essential hypertension 1:04 High blood pressure causes 2:12 Vitamin D deficiency and high blood pressure 3:02 Genetic high blood pressure 3:48 Insulin resistance and hypertension 4:43 Vitamin D and calcium 6:11 High blood pressure medication 6:46 How to lower blood pressure Today, I’m going to tell you how to prevent hypertension and how to get rid of it if you already have it. Around 95% of high blood pressure is classified as essential high blood pressure, which means the cause is unknown. Around 20% of the time, hypertensive medication doesn’t work because blood pressure is just a symptom of an underlying problem! If you treat a symptom and don’t address the root cause, you’re only camouflaging the problem. Vitamin D deficiency can cause hypertension. Your body's water pressure control system runs higher if you’re low in vitamin D, causing vasoconstriction in the arteries and increasing blood pressure. When this system goes up, it also causes sodium retention. More sodium and more water mean higher blood pressure. Potassium protects against excess sodium, but most people don’t get enough. You need 4700 mg daily. The risk of high blood pressure goes up during the winter when vitamin D is lower due to lower sun exposure. If you have darker skin, you’re at an increased risk of high blood pressure and vitamin D deficiency. Genetic high blood pressure problems are usually associated with a genetic problem with vitamin D. Insulin resistance is also connected to high blood pressure. If you eat a lot of carbs or snacks frequently, you may develop insulin resistance, a precursor for high blood glucose and the root cause of many chronic health concerns, including a fatty liver, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and belly fat. If there's too much calcium in your arteries, they can become stiff, increasing your blood pressure. Vitamin K2 can help direct calcium to the bone and teeth. It’s also vital that you have enough magnesium to prevent calcium buildup and clotting. High blood pressure is typically treated with calcium channel blockers and beta blockers. Magnesium may act as a natural calcium channel blocker and beta blocker. Try the following 4 things to lower blood pressure naturally: 1. 10,000 to 20,000 IU of vitamin D daily 2. 800 mg of magnesium glycinate daily 3. Low-carb diet 4. Increase potassium intake Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. 11 Bizarre Symptoms of Vitamin D Deficiency You NEED to Know
Dr. Eric BergFind out about some of the bizarre symptoms you might experience if you have low vitamin D. Breathing Hacks: ▶️ https://youtu.be/AQz5u71G3js ▶️ https://youtu.be/HfknEr2ctRI Full Interview with Dr. Bruce Hollis: ▶️ https://youtu.be/QAQ7r6jLEww Vitamin D Toxicity: ▶️ https://youtu.be/H_U5QRk_Wrc DATA: https://youtu.be/zfZSW2saqCg https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3849670/ 0:00 Introduction: Common vitamin D deficiency symptoms 1:30 11 surprising vitamin D deficiency signs 5:56 Vitamin D3 deficiency explained 9:40 How much vitamin D should I take? 13:30 Take vitamin D3 with the cofactors Today, I’m going to tell you about some of the symptoms that you probably didn’t know were related to vitamin D deficiency. The most common signs that you’re vitamin D deficient include lower back pain, depression, high blood pressure, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. Blood tests only show you the inactive form of vitamin D and don't tell you about vitamin D at the cellular level. Instead, look out for some of the surprising signs of vitamin D deficiency. 1. Head sweating This is typically seen in infants but can also be seen in teenagers and adults. 2. Sweating more at night If you’re vitamin D deficient, you may sweat excessively, even if the room is cool. You might also wake up with a moist pillow. 3. Mood swings Vitamin D controls mood regulation, so if you’re deficient, you could experience a range of moods in a short time. 4. Procrastinating If you constantly put things off for later, you could be vitamin D deficient! 5. Panic attacks Low vitamin D levels can cause panic attacks, so try taking high doses of vitamin D3 if you’re experiencing them. 6. Achiness Achiness in the pelvis, lower back, hips, and upper legs is often a sign of low vitamin D. 7. Loss of muscle strength If you have low vitamin D, you won’t have enough calcium in the muscles. Calcium allows the muscle to contract and is also involved in muscle production. 8. Stiffness Stiffness related to vitamin D deficiency usually occurs in the knees and fingers. This is related to inflammation, weakened cartilage, and weakened collagen. 9. Chronic fatigue Vitamin D supports your mitochondria, the energy factories of the cell. Without enough vitamin D, you can’t make energy. 10. Slowed down thinking Vitamin D deficiency can cause diminished cognitive function. 11. Difficulty feeling satisfied If you’re vitamin D deficient, you might not feel satisfied after eating, and you’ll have a tendency to overeat. Consider taking around 10,000 to 20,000 IU of vitamin D3 per day, along with the cofactors magnesium, vitamin K2, zinc, and vitamin B6. 7 Early Signs of Liver Damage
Dr. Eric BergFind out about 7 surprising liver damage symptoms you might not think are connected to the liver. Spot liver disease before it’s too late! 0:00 Introduction: 7 early signs of liver damage 0:45 Alcoholic fatty liver disease vs. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease 1:06 Early signs of liver damage 4:56 The thyroid and liver problems 6:55 What causes liver damage? In this video, I’ll show you how to spot the early signs of liver damage. Alcoholic fatty liver disease only makes up about 4% of cases. Most liver disease is considered non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Here are 7 surprising liver damage signs: 1. Bulging or tightness under the right rib cage This bulging can sometimes cause pain in the right shoulder due to pressure on the phrenic nerve. 2. Loss of energy This will differ from fatigue and affect your endurance, especially during exercise. You may feel tired after eating or need to go to bed early. You might also experience weakness or a loss of vitality and strength. 3. Itchiness Many people with liver damage experience itchiness on the bottoms of their feet, but it can occur anywhere on the body. This is caused by bile salts backing up into the tissues and is often more noticeable at night. 4. Red dots or spider veins High levels of estrogen can cause red dots and spider veins. Men with high levels of estrogen may develop increased breast tissue, while women may experience symptoms of estrogen dominance. 5. Thyroid problems Liver damage can inhibit proper thyroid function. Symptoms like fatigue, loss of hair, high cholesterol, and dry skin are symptoms of a lowered-functioning thyroid. 6. Low vitamin D Many people are deficient in vitamin D, and this problem worsens with liver damage. Inflammation, a weakened immune system, and muscle problems can also indicate low vitamin D. 7. Dark urine Liver damage will cause your urine to be darker and may also cause it to have a strong smell. The cause of a fatty liver, inflamed liver, and liver cirrhosis can be narrowed down to one root cause—the consumption of sugar, starches, and seed oils. Eliminating these ingredients from the diet may help reverse fatty liver and other chronic health conditions. Fastest Way to Rid Your DOUBLE CHIN (Turkey Neck)
Dr. Eric BergGet rid of a double chin (turkey neck for good) with these 4 simple face exercises! 0:00 Introduction: How to get rid of a double chin 0:25 Fascia 1:02 4 double chin exercises 1:12 Double chin exercise #1 1:57 Double chin exercise #2 2:38 Double chin exercise #3 3:44 Double chin exercise #4 Today, I’m going to show you four easy double chin exercises that can get rid of a turkey neck for good. Because of the typical loose skin, a double chin is often referred to as a turkey neck. If you do these double chin exercises on a regular basis, you will see massive improvement! As we age, we develop loose skin, especially under the neck, which does not get much exercise. There’s a superficial and a deep layer of connective tissue called fascia under the skin on your neck. The muscles and fascia in your neck are responsible for head flexion, chin movement, and jaw movement. The first face exercise works the muscle that pulls the jaw down when you open your mouth. The next exercise, which looks like a frown, activates the superficial fascia. The third exercise creates an elongation and deep stretch of the fascia. The fourth and final exercise allows for head flexion to strengthen and tone the fascia. Remember, If you don't use it, you lose it! Stretching, strengthening, and tightening the fascia with these simple double chin exercises can eliminate a turkey neck! Do NOT Cook with This!!!
Dr. Eric BergIs there a healthy way to enjoy deep-fried foods? Find out about the best and worst oil for deep-frying! Book Links: Basic Principle of Membrane Technology: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-94-009-1766-8 The Ancestral Diet Revolution: https://www.amazon.com/Ancestral-Diet-Revolution-Vegetable-Processed/dp/1734071761 0:00 Introduction: The worst oil to cook with 0:52 Seed oils 4:46 Side effects of seed oils 5:55 Healthiest oils for frying 7:33 Check out my fried chicken recipe! In this video, we’re going to talk about the best and worst oil for deep frying. Seed oils are polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vegetable oil is actually seed oil—it doesn’t come from vegetables. Seed oils go through industrial processing involving heating and the addition of solvents like hexane, a chemical found in gasoline. This process allows seed oils to be shelf-stable for long periods of time. Around 25% to 30% of our calories come from seed oils. When you cook processed foods like donuts in seed oils, you’re combining sugar with fat and heat. This process, called glycation, creates sticky proteins in the body. Fast food oil is reheated and reused repeatedly. The more it’s heated, the more toxic it becomes. Seed oils were not originally created for human consumption. They’re incredibly damaging to the mitochondria and lead to insulin resistance, fatty liver disease, obesity, heart disease, and an increased risk for cancer. Soybean oil causes the most damage to the body, followed by corn oil, sunflower oil, and canola oil. Healthier cooking oils for frying include avocado oil, coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, beef tallow, butter, and ghee. Keep in mind it's best to cook over low or medium heat. Pan-frying, air-frying, and stir-frying are healthier options than deep-frying over high heat.
