Jesus Is Lord / Palm Springs / God's Country (Kanye West)

Jesus Is Lord, is the sequel album by Kanye West to his 2019 album, Jesus Is King. The production for this would take place from around 10/25/2019 to 7/18/2020, where Kanye would go through different phases in production. This album would expand on Jesus Is King with topics focused on faith with mixed dark themes. Many of these songs would later go on to be worked on more and used in different albums such as Kanye's own "Donda" album, as well as Travis Scott's "Utopia". This album "Jesus Is Lord" is also referred to as "Palm Springs" and "God's Country".
This whole playlist is based off of the YeTracker's listing of Jesus Is Lord. A lot of the songs used had multiple versions, so I picked which version to use based on three things in this order: if it is actually used on the album, how unique it is, and how good it sounds. This is so 3 albums don't just have the same songs because one version sounds the best and so the album is true to its content. Like I said, each song has one version, however I did include 2 versions of Awakening. This was due to how different each sounded and because they both sounded so good with the album and just good in general. Another reason I did two of that song ties in to the next part of how I also tried to organize the album so its in a good order where each song transitions well into the next and where there are multiple different sections, each with there own vibe. There is really about 6 sections to this album if you split the themes up,
which is how I ordered it. I also had Awakening v4 start the album, and then Awakening v2 end it, and you'll understand why if you listen to it as it creates this wrap around effect; where one feels like the cheerful introduction to the journey, while the other feels like a beautiful closure to the story.
This album has a LOT of songs. Some of these are more finished than others, but in total there are 49 songs. Although I did this based on accuracy, as to not discriminate on whether I thought a song was good for it to be put in, I did leave some songs out. These songs were either left out because they were clearly unfinished to where it wasn't worth fitting them in or although they were made in the same time era, it was obvious they were not made for the album such as having cursing, etc. The list of songs not included are:
All Praises Due to Him v1-v2
Bank, Beverly, By Your Side, Coedine v1
Cops Flash Put Em Up/Run, Despite
He Did the Most, Head Down v1, Idea 2
Jah/Take Me, Jas, Jesus (speed up) v3
Man Of God, NorthSide Kings, Prayed Up v3
Rise Up, Run Home, Soldier, Shotta/Hear Me Clearly v1, Vibrations v1-v2, XTC
88 Keys - Star Time/The Mind Is Powerful/Start Time V7
Abatract Mindset - I Know You, Cardi B - Hot Shit v2, Chance the Rapper and Lizzo - Better Move V1-v2, Playboi Carti - Headshot/Heads Off, Pop Smoke - TeleVision/ Tell The Vision/We Made/RIP Pop Smoke v1-v3
Glory / Donda('s Glory)/South Carolina v1
This is the Glory v5 vid, They Were Overcome v3, ???/72, Sean Leon - Dawn/SciFi (/) Wifi/Oxygen (or WiFi) v1
This whole thing literally took me hours upon hours of time; from compiling the songs, selecting each version, uploading it to Rumble and YouTube, listening to them to put in a good order, etc. This is a great album though and is very not talked about. Its crazy how a lot of Kanye's best songs started here, and its definitely worth a peak at the big ones such as: "Fighting Fires", "Future Bounce", "Awakening", "God's Country", "Let the Spirit Go Wild", etc.
