Pokemon Polished Crystal

After the unpolished gem that was Liquid Crystal, how about we look at a hack of Gen 2 that does what Liquid Crystal attempted to do, but with better results? I played an earlier version of this hack before, but this is my first time playing this version, so this could be seen as a semi-blind playthrough. The only ruleset I'm following for this one on what pokemon I can use is that I can't use any of the pokemon I catch (unless they're shiny), but stuff I get as a gift, from trades, or from hatching eggs are fair game. Also, this is my first alt-tech exclusive series. With our starter selected, it's time to make our way to the first gym, which won't be that easy because I chose Chikorita...and that's before you factor in the changes to move sets in this hack. After some prep work, it's time to take on one of the most annoying trainers in this entire hack. Why is he so annoying?
