Classic Rock Live Music (High Quality Audio)Eagles - Tequila Sunrise (Live in Christchurch, New Zealand 1995) Soundboard Eagles (1972) Desperado (1973) On the Border (1974) One of These Nights (1975) Hotel California (1976) The Long Run (1979) Long Road Out of Eden (2007) The Eagles are an iconic American soft rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. With five number one singles and six number one albums, six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s in North America thanks to Joe Walsh. Founding members Glenn Frey (guitars, vocals), Don Henley (drums, vocals), Bernie Leadon (guitars, vocals), and Randy Meisner (bass guitar, vocals) were recruited by Linda Ronstadt as band members, some touring with her, and all playing on her third solo album, before venturing out on their own on David Geffen's new Asylum Records label. Their debut album, Eagles (1972), spawned two top-20 singles in the US and Canada: Take It Easy and Witchy Woman. The next year's follow-up album, Desperado, peaked at only number 41 in the US, although the song Desperado became a popular track. In 1974, guitarist Don Felder joined, and On the Border produced the top-40 hit Already Gone and the Eagles' first number-one song in the US and Canada, Best of My Love, which made the top 15 in Australia, their first hit overseas. In 1975, the album One of These Nights became their first number-one album in the US and a top-10 album in many countries. It included the US number-one hit One of These Nights, which was their first top-10 hit outside of North America, and US top-five songs Lyin' Eyes and Take It to the Limit. Also in 1975, guitarist and vocalist Joe Walsh replaced Leadon which added a much needed rock and roll element to the band! Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) (1976) is the best-selling album in the United States, with 38 million sold, and primed the public for the late 1976 release of Hotel California, which would sell more than 26 million copies in the US (ranking third all-time for US sales), and more than 32 million copies worldwide. The album yielded two number-one singles in the US and Canada, "New Kid in Town" and "Hotel California", the latter of which became their only top-10 hit in the United Kingdom, while also reaching the top 10 in New Zealand and many European countries, including number two in France. Meisner was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit in 1977. The Eagles released their last studio album for nearly 28 years in 1979 with The Long Run, spawning the North American number-one song Heartache Tonight, which became their biggest hit in Australia (number 13), and the North American top-10 hits The Long Run and I Can't Tell You Why. Those Aussie bugga’s really know how to rock! The Eagles broke up in 1980 but reunited in 1994 for the album Hell Freezes Over, a mix of live and new studio tracks, and toured consistently. In 2007, the Eagles released Long Road Out of Eden, their sixth number-one album in the US, and in 2008 launched the Long Road Out of Eden Tour. In 2013, they began the extended History of the Eagles Tour in conjunction with the documentary release, History of the Eagles. Following Frey's death in January 2016, the Eagles re-formed in 2017, with Glenn's son Deacon Frey and Vince Gill sharing lead vocals for Frey's songs prior to the former's departure in 2022. The Eagles are one of the world's best-selling bands, having sold more than 200 million records, including 100 million sold in US alone. They were inducted into the meaningless Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.451 views 1 comment -
Muse - Fury (Live in Paris, France 2018) Excellent
Classic Rock Live Music (High Quality Audio)Muse - Fury (Live in Paris, France 2018) Excellent Recording Matt Bellamy – Lead vocals, Lead Guitars, Lead Keyboards Dominic Howard – Drums Chris Wolstenholme – Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals Showbiz (1999) Origin of Symmetry (2001) Absolution (2003) Black Holes and Revelations (2006) The Resistance (2009) The 2nd Law (2012) Drones (2015) Simulation Theory (2018) Will of the People (2022) The members of Muse played in separate school bands during their time at Teignmouth Community College in the early 1990s. Guitarist Matt Bellamy successfully auditioned for drummer Dominic Howard's band, Carnage Mayhem, becoming its singer and songwriter. They renamed the band Gothic Plague. They asked Chris Wolstenholme – at that time the drummer for Fixed Penalty – to join as bassist; he agreed and took up bass lessons. The band was renamed Rocket Baby Dolls and adopted a goth-glam image. Around this time, they received a £150 grant from the Prince's Trust for equipment. In 1994, Rocket Baby Dolls won a local battle of the bands, smashing their equipment in the process. Bellamy said, "It was supposed to be a protest, a statement, so, when we actually won, it was a real shock, a massive shock. After that, we started taking ourselves seriously." The band quit their jobs, changed their name to Muse, and moved away from Teignmouth. The band liked that the new name was short and thought that it looked good on a poster. According to journalist Mark Beaumont, the band wanted the name to reflect "the sense Matt had that he had somehow 'summoned up' this band, the way mediums could summon up inspirational spirits at times of emotional need". The discography of Muse, an English rock band, consists of nine studio albums, two live albums, one compilation album, one box set, five extended plays (EPs), 44 singles, two video albums, 61 music videos and four other appearances. Formed in Teignmouth, Devon in 1994, the band signed with Taste Media before releasing their debut album Showbiz in 1999. The album was a success across Europe, and in the UK reached number 29 on the UK Albums Chart, as well as being certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Five singles were released from Showbiz, with final release "Unintended" the band's first to reach the top 20 on the UK Singles Chart. Muse released their second album Origin of Symmetry in 2001, which reached number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum by the BPI. The album's first three singles, "Plug In Baby", "New Born" and "Bliss", all reached the UK top 25. In 2002 the band released their first live video album Hullabaloo: Live at Le Zenith, Paris, alongside the tie-in compilation album Hullabaloo Soundtrack. The video reached number 2 on the UK Music Video Chart, while the soundtrack album reached number 10 on the UK Albums Chart. The group's third studio album Absolution, issued on East West Records, was released in 2003 and was the band's first release to top the UK Albums Chart. The album only reached number 103 on the US Billboard 200, but has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "Time Is Running Out" was the band's first single to reach the UK Singles Chart top ten, peaking at number 8. Absolution Tour, a live video filmed on the Absolution promotional cycle, reached number 9 on the UK Music Video Chart. After founding their own label, Helium-3, and signing with Warner Bros. Records, Muse released Black Holes and Revelations in 2006. The album was a commercial success, topping several albums charts and reaching the top ten on the Billboard 200. Lead single "Supermassive Black Hole" is the band's most successful on the UK Singles Chart to date, peaking at number 4. The band's first live album HAARP was released in 2008, reaching number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. The Resistance followed in 2009, topping several countries' album charts for the first time, as well as reaching number 3 in the US. The first single from the album, "Uprising", was the band's first to reach the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as their fourth to reach the top ten in the UK. Muse have continued to enjoy high levels of commercial success in recent years – The 2nd Law and Drones both topped the UK Albums Chart, while the latter was the group's first release to reach number one on the Billboard 200.
