General Animation

*Originally posted to the AAVF Studios Youtube Channel on Mar 3, 2024* With the turn of the year from 2023 into 2024, the legendary mouse from the house of Disney, Mickey Mouse has become public domain (albeit in the form of Steam Boat Willie). And like Winnie the Pooh's first entrance into the public's hands, a new (well, two actually) horror movie turning the freshly relinquished IP into an unholy horror monster was announced. Jumping the gun, I decided to make a horror movie of my own, in concept only anyway. Here is my idea for a Pokémon horror movie, utilising a franchise-related Pokéball as a weapon! It was a tiring minute-and-a-half clip to make (via rounding up) but I hope you'll enjoy it! P.S. Yes, I know the animation's not perfect and some cracks in the paint are showing, but hey, I assure you this is one of the best things (over-exaggeration) unpaid hobbyist animation can accomplish. This is done entirely without funding or financial backing and by one free-spirited man - me. If anything, go make your own version of this video, I'm just simply a conduit for putting untapped ideas out into the world. Go nuts, get messy, and spread happiness throughout the internet. P.P.S. The Pokémon Company, if you see this video, please don't sue me.

The Day Henry Met... is an animated children's program about a little boy named Henry who has daily chats with friendly non-human (mostly inanimate) objects to find out what they are all about and learn more about the big wide world surrounding him (I personally think Henry's trippin' balls, but I digress). Each episode (or segment) is introduced with the titular phrase "The Day Henry Met..." followed by the object name, so today, let's take a little spin on the notion by adding a not-so-kid-friendly topic to the mix.

We all know the "You've been hit by Truck" spoof of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_qqp873J4&ab_channel=VCROfficial) making the rounds of the internet a while back (at least i think). Now, ready yourselves for this masterpiece, courtesy of me!

So, I used to code in Python for a couple years, starting when I signed up for an online Python coding course offered on Coursera by the University of Toronto. My coding journey was going great, but one thing that got on my nerves was Python's syntactical use of spaces. I had so many issues with spaces, and on a frequent basis: it alerted me that a 'syntax error' was present in my code, but it never actually told me where. So it would frustrate me every time when, after searching through giant blocks of code over and over, that it didn't run due to ONE SINGLE SPACE that shouldn't have been there. The level of nitpicking just didn't fly for me, so I gave up on coding after two years. Will I ever code again? Well, I don't know. ______________ My apologies for the long exposition. Anyways, I made this animation to manifest my frustrations with coding into something short, sweet, and funny, for all to enjoy. Strap yourself down for bright colours, good vibes, and most importantly, NO POLITICS. Without further ado, it's showtime!
