The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019)

Originally streamed on 07/18/2022 It's Thursday. You know what that means! We begin the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Originally released in 1993 with a DX remake in 1998, we are playing the 2019 remake. So many good times with this game. The characters. The music. All of it. It felt like catching up with an old friend. Probably could have wrapped this hour up earlier if I wanted to, but I didn't. I spent way too much time fishing. But that's half the fun, right?

Originally streamed on 07/26/2022 Man, I really do like these dungeons originally designed for handhelds. One screens rooms, not too complicated of a layout, and the combat here has really improved. I mean, this is the fourth Zelda game and though this is the remake, I feel like they nailed this down. We also check out Dampe's Dungeon Adventure. I think it's... interesting. Definitely deserves its criticisms but I also can't imagine a full-fledged "Zelda Maker" in this remake. It would have been too much. I'm still going to periodically check back on this to get any items we'll need for completion. ...I still want that Zelda Maker game though...

We talk a lot about wrestling at this one. A lot has happened when recording it and I talk about what things could be. For the first time in years, I am at least mildly interested in what WWE could do. At one point I made a reference to this game, The Legend of Kusakari on the 3DS. Originally streamed on 08/01/2022 I wanted to check out the Dungeon Editor for a bit here. I rarely, if ever, go for all the heart pieces. But I felt like doing it this time. We also get the Ocarina and learn the Ballad of the Wind Fish from Marin.
