A 45 minute planned lesson turned into almost two hours. They brought along a former bishop and long time member of the church who's in his 80's. I guess they needed the experience as he spent the majority of the time talking instead of the missionaries. Once again, my recording hardware didn't work, and upon reading other people's experiences with it, this can be normal (aka "junk"). I have literally broke the bank and ordered a new device which should be here be Thursday and ready for Friday's meeting. Although frustrated by the loss of another recording, I'm grateful that I still had the opportunity to counter some of their claims and preach the gospel. I also hope some seeds were planted and that they may come to consider in the back of the minds. PS - I've noticed that there have been some streaming issues to Rumble where the stream itself starts stuttering. I've attempted to make use of a rudimentary green screen in the hopes that it will put less demands on my computer's resources. I was assigned some homework to do before the LDS missionaries return on Tuesday. The first was to read the History of Joseph Smith (which I have already done and the links to the video are below "Joseph Smith Said That All Christianity Is An Abomination"). The second was to read the introduction to the Book of Mormon along with the "testimonies" from the "witnesses". I'll be streaming that tonight and giving a Biblical response. Today was the first meeting with the new LDS missionaries today. It went rather well. I had set up to record the audio, but when I checked the SD card, the recording never saved. However, they'll be back twice next week and they'll be bring others along with them. I'll make sure to verify that the recording equipment is set up. Today was also a day of spiritual attack, from the moment I woke until after they left.
