22023 Unified Scale Automotive Content Creators (USACC) Group Build -Part 02
Skip's Messy Workbench1955 Ford Panel Truck - Part 02 In this video I'm still in the brainstorming pre-infancy stage of the build. I'd like to cut the rear doors open; however, I'm concerned with being able to mount the hinges. I show how I'm mocking up an idea for rear door hinges to emulate how the rear door hinges actually work on the 1955 Ford Panel Truck. I'm also starting to cut parts to build the roof racks and demonstrate an extension ladder that I scratch built. The ladder is 1:24 scale 24-foot. I'm starting to fit the frame with a Hemi from a 1971 Cuda and I'm trying some different wheels. Here is a timeline: ------------------------------------ Intro 00:00 to 00:33 Idea 00:33 to 01:25 Rear doors 01:25 to 02:07 Text 02:07 to 02:22 Hinge mock-up 02:22 to 05:42 Roof racks 05:42 to 06:26 Extension ladder 06:26 to 07:12 Hemi & drive train 07:12 to 09:06 Tires & bench seat 09:06 to 10:59 Thanks & thumbs up 10:59 to 11:21 Bible verse 11:21 to 12:07 Outro 12:07 to 12:22 Notes of the Unified Scale Automotive Content Creators (USACC) -------------------------------------------------------------- The 3rd annual build: Sept. 15 through Jan. 14, 2024 1955 Ford Pickup or Panel Van 1955 Ford Panel Truck Monogram No. 2772 1:24 Scalemates: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/monogram-2772-55-ford-panel-truck--170261 MUSIC CITATIONS Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 -------------------------------- Fluffing a Duck by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100768 Artist: http://incompetech.com/ Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 -------------------------------- News Theme 2 by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Artist: http://audionautix.com/15 views -

03 1955 Ford Panel Truck - Part 03
Skip's Messy Workbench2023 Unified Scale Automotive Content Creators (USACC) Group Build -Part 03 1955 Ford Panel Truck - Part 03 In this video I'm still in the brainstorming stage but have made some decisions. The engine is mostly built and awaiting some after market parts. I decided the color scheme for the body. It will be either two tone or tri-tone with the bottom, side doors, fenders and hood in Tamiya X-3 Royal Blue and the top of the sides, where the business lettering will be, in an off white, either a Vallejo 71.119 White Gray or 71.279 Insignia White. The bumpers and side mirrors will be in an 71.270 off-white RAL9001 Weiss. I'm thinking maybe the wheels will also be in off-white; however, I'm leaning toward brushed aluminum. I will also be doing the engine valve covers in brushed aluminum. The engine is a Mopar Hemi. It's hard, if no impossible to find an acrylic model paint for Chrysler Engine Red. I mixed one that I felt is close to what I remember my 1966 225 Slant Six looked like. I used: 20 parts Tamiya X-6 Orange : 8 parts Tamiya X-7 Red (20:8) or (10:4) or (2.5:1) Notes of the Unified Scale Automotive Content Creators (USACC) -------------------------------------------------------------- The 3rd annual build: Sept. 15 through Jan. 14, 2024 1955 Ford Pickup or Panel Van 1955 Ford Panel Truck Monogram No. 2772 1:24 Scalemates: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/monogram-2772-55-ford-panel-truck--170261 MUSIC CITATIONS Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 -------------------------------- News Theme 2 by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Artist: http://audionautix.com/25 views -

Skip's Messy Workbench2023 Unified Scale Automotive Content Creators (USACC) Group Build -Part 04 04 1955 Ford Panel Truck USACC Part 04 1955 Ford Panel Truck - Part 04 In this video I briefly discuss the scratch built engine mounts I had to make to mount the '71 Cuda 426 Hemi. Also, after using a pully pack from Model Car Garage, the kit radiator will not fit. I discuss my idea to scratch build a cross flow radiator that should then fit in the space I have available. 05 1955 Ford Panel Truck USACC - FINAL Part 05
Skip's Messy Workbench2023 Unified Scale Automotive Content Creators (USACC) Group Build -Part 05 05 1955 Ford Panel Truck USACC - FINAL Part 05 1955 Ford Panel Truck - Part 05 This is the finished kit for the USACC 3rd Annual Group Build. The idea for a plumbing utility van came when my 98-year old 2nd cousin (cousin once removed) passed away. His father, my grandfathers brother, had a plumbing business that he took over and ran until he retired. He was a great guy and had a great sense of humor. Although his truck did not look like this, it's something he would have loved to do as a joke. So...in memorial to my cousin "Smokey", I created this utility van. There is a lot I could have done better, like the paint job, but to make the deadline there just wasn't enough time. I'm not complaining, it's on me, I'm just saying.
