24TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL, DR PAUL ENENCHE. Thursday 24TH OCTOBER 2024. Our TOPIC: THE TRAGEDY OF DESTINY REPLACEMENT. Today's SCRIPTURE: For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. ACTS chapter 1 verse 20, hallelujah! Our THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Remember that when you are slowing down, someone else is warming up, and when you are marking time, someone else is marching on. It has been established that the journey of destiny fulfilment is often confronted with some deadly forces or enemies. One of such enemies of destiny is the attitude of slackness or slothfulness. There are many people who have lost their places in life and destiny because they were too slack. They were not available to do what God expected of them to do. They didn’t do what they were meant to do with their lives. And because of that, God said, “I am not going to waste my time waiting for them. I am going to locate someone else who is ready to move with speed to do it.” And eventually, what they were meant and destined to do is given to someone else because of their slackness. Beloved, remember that when you are slowing down, someone else is warming up, and when you are marking time, someone else is marching on. Nobody will be compelled to wait for you because you are wasting time. The fact that one vehicle is parked by the roadside does not force other vehicles in motion to park. There are so many people blaming those who came from behind to overtake them. They say things like, “I have been here all these years. I started first. I am older than him. Why is he like this?” And God is saying, “When I wanted to move with you, you drew back.” One day, Kathryn Kuhlman of Blessed Memory asked the Lord, “O Lord, why is my work so hard?” And the Lord said to her, “It was a man's mantle you are carrying. The assignment of your life was meant for a man, but the man disobeyed me, so, I had to look for someone else and gave the person the mantle, and you are the one.” That is, her assignment was meant for a man who should naturally have the energy to work. Kathryn Kuhlman worked like 18 hours out of 24 hours of the day. God told her that it was a man’s work she was doing. Beloved, determine that nobody will take your place. Therefore, make up your mind never to be slothful or lazy in life. Remember this: You must remember that when you are slowing down, someone else is warming up, and when you are marking time, someone else is marching on. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Make up your mind never to be replaced with anyone else due to slackness. #2. Always keep a pace with God. Be sensitive to God’s leading and always endeavour to act on time. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Lord, I receive your mercy never to be replaced with anyone in your purpose and programme for my life. Help me to be at pace with You, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! The higher you will want to fly in life, the harder you will have to work. Culled from the book, “30 Secrets To The Top” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book Luke chapter 10 to 12. We start with the book of Luke chapter 10, After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly great, but the laborers few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road. But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’ But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city. “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and to whom the Son wills to reveal ” Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed the eyes which see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen and to hear what you hear, and have not heard ” And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading ” So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ” And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded and departed, leaving half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.”Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” hallelujah Amen? Luke chapter 11, Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “When you pray, say:Our Father in heaven,Hallowed be Your name.Your kingdom come.Your will be done On earth as in heaven. And forgive us our sins,For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one.” Give us day by day our daily bread. And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs. “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute spoke; and the multitudes marveled. But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house against a house falls. Others, testing Him, sought from Him a sign from heaven. If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say I cast out demons by Beelzebub. And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils. He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters. “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last of that man is worse than the first.” And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” But He said, “More than that, blessed those who hear the word of God and keep it!” And while the crowds were thickly gathered together, He began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. For as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also the Son of Man will be to this generation. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon here. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah here. “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when is bad, your body also full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body full of light, having no part dark, whole will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” And as He spoke, a certain Pharisee asked Him to dine with him. So He went in and sat down to eat. When the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before dinner. Then the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness. Foolish ones! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also? But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you. “But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over are not aware ” Then one of the lawyers answered and said to Him, “Teacher, by saying these things You reproach us also.” And He said, “Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs. Therefore the wisdom of God also said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, and of them they will kill and persecute,’ that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who perished between the altar and the temple. Yes, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation. “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.” And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to assail Him vehemently, and to cross-examine Him about many things, lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Him in something He might say, that they might accuse Him. Hallelujah! Luke chapter 12, In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. “Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Then one from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, be merry.” ’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? If you then are not able to do least, why are you anxious for the rest? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more you, O of little faith? “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. “Let your waist be girded and lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Then Peter said to Him, “Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people?” And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom master will make ruler over his household, to give portion of food in due season? Blessed that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! Do suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” Then He also said to the multitudes, “Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is. And when the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is. Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how you do not discern this time? “Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right? When you go with your adversary to the magistrate, make every effort along the way to settle with him, lest he drag you to the judge, the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison. I tell you, you shall not depart from there till you have paid the very last mite.” hallelujah! AMAZING FACT: Your bone can heal itself by producing new cells. That’s why a person is put in a cast when they fracture their bone. Today's PROPHETIC WORD (and DECLARATION): Every spell of slothfulness and laziness in your life be broken today in Jesus Name. 25TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS GOSPEL, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. Friday 25th October 2024 Today's TOPIC: Answers From Questions. Our SCRIPTURE today: And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Acts 9:5, Hallelujah! Our THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No one is entitled to an answer who does not ask the right questions. It has been established that one way to receive answers to life’s questions is by asking. Answers are the products of questions asked. And one of the greatest questions you can ever ask is: “Lord, what am I hearing from what I am seeing?” Or “What are you saying from what I am seeing?” This is because no one is entitled to an answer who does not ask the right questions. I have asked questions at traffic junctions. “Lord, what are you saying at this traffic junction?” Some years ago, I was rushing to preach in a law school, at Bwari, Abuja when I was caught in one of such traffic jams. The traffic light was not working at one of the junctions. And no traffic warden was there to control the traffic congestion. So, every driver rushed to the centre of the road and got stuck there. No matter how much in a hurry you wanted to drive, you would not move an inch forward. Then I asked, “Lord, what are you saying here?” and I brought out my pen and paper. Then I heard, “In the presence of disorder, there is zero progress,” then I began to write. I even wrote many other things I learnt from that experience of traffic congestion. Indeed, everything is saying something. I thank God for my family background and the kind of father I had. Sometime ago, I told my siblings that I got many good things and many good instructions of life from my father. Someone once heard me preach many years ago and told me, “You preach like your father.” Then I asked him, “Does my father preach?” And he said, “Oh yes! He preached many years ago before you were born, that was in the late 40s and early 50s.” That was another learning experience. The point I am trying to make is, asking questions is the pathway to receiving answers because answers are the products of questions asked. Remember this: No one is entitled to an answer who does not ask the right questions. Take this assignment with you: #1. Make up your mind to ask the right question to receive the right answer. #2. Ask questions with the attitude of humility and enquiry. Our PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to ask the right questions. Give me the right answers as I ask, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: EXISTENCE AT THE TOP – THE POWER OF VISION. QUOTE: You do not deserve answers until you ask questions. Culled from the book, “30 Secrets To The Top” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Luke chapter 13 to 15. We start with Luke chapter 13, Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.” And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.” And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved? ”And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.” On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.” And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third I shall be perfected.’ Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen her brood under wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the !’ ” hallelujah! Luke chapter 14, It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” “Salt good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see begin to mock him, For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has to finish — And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’ ” Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel to come in, that my house may be filled. And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here poor and maimed and lame and blind.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ But they all with one began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!” And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” But when you give a feast, invite poor, maimed, lame, blind. Then He also said to him who invited Him, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place. “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; So He told a parable to those who were invited, when He noted how they chose the best places, saying to them: And they could not answer Him regarding these things. Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” But they kept silent. And He took him and healed him, and let him go. And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy. Now it happened, as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they watched Him closely. Hallelujah! Luke chapter 15, Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? So He spoke this parable to them, saying: And when he has found he lays on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds And when she has found she calls friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ And the younger of them said to father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls ’ So he divided to them livelihood. Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ” hallelujah! AMAZING FACT: The biggest joint in your body is the knee. 26TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. Saturday 26TH October 2024 Our TOPIC: THE WORLD OF BATTLE. Today's SCRIPTURE: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew chapter 11 verse 12. Hallelujah! Our THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One reason why we need a brutal, aggressive, fighting spirit is that we live in a world of battles. Our anchor Scripture makes an interesting statement about the inevitability of battles or violence such that not even the Kingdom of heaven is excluded. We live in a world of battles, so it takes violence to conquer in life and destiny. It takes the engagement of force to possess your inheritance in God. You need a fighting spirit to become all that God has ordained you to be in life. Now, one reason why we need a brutal, aggressive, fighting spirit is that, we live in a world of battles. Our world is characterized by wars and battles. This makes possessing a fighting spirit an unavoidable necessity for survival. It is very disastrous to sit on the fence in a battle-filled world like ours. Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 says, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. You may think you are living in a normal or regular world, but we are living in a world that is literally a battlefield. 2nd Corinthians 10 verse 4 to 5 says, (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; The truth is, whether you are interested or not, there is a wrestling going on. This is the fact, whether you offend someone or not, you must wrestle. Sometime ago, a little boy was given a candy (sweet) by his friend in school. He put the candy in his pocket, forgetting to lick it. When he got home, the mother checked the pocket of the boy, and it was shocking what she brought out. It was a human finger she brought out of his pocket instead of the candy. Then the mother asked him, “What is this? How did you get this?” And the boy said, “My friend gave me a candy (sweet) in school.” Can you imagine that? What was meant to be a physical food was actually a witchcraft initiation. Beloved, always remember that we live in a world of battles so you can equip yourself to fight the battles of life. Remember this: One reason why we need a brutal, aggressive, fighting spirit is that, we live in a world of battles. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Always equip yourself with the mentality that the world is a battle ground. #2. Ask God to baptize you with a fighting spirit. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Lord, help me to be battle-ready as I live in this world. I ask for a fresh baptism of a fighting spirit, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: EXISTENCE AT THE TOP – THE POWER OF FIGHTING SPIRIT. QUOTE: Victory belongs only to fighters. You must therefore make up your mind to be a fighter - especially in spiritual battles against the forces of darkness that want to collapse your destiny by all means. Culled from the book, “30 Secrets To The Top” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Luke chapter 16 to 18. We start with book of Luke chapter 16, He also said to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods. So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’ “Then the steward said within himself, ‘What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.’ “So he called every one of his master’s debtors to and said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ And he said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ So he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’ Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ So he said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. He who faithful in least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. “The law and the prophets until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail. “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from husband commits adultery. “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ hallelujah! Luke chapter 17, Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ” Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after or follow For as the lightning that flashes out of one under heaven shines to the other under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. Remember Lot’s wife. I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.” And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.” hallelujah! Luke chapter 18, Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ” And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one good but One, God. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ” And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?” But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Then Peter said, “See, we have left all and followed You.” So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.” Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.” But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken. Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?”He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Hallelujah? AMAZING FACT: The Gluteus Maximus, which is the main extensor muscle of the hip is the largest muscle in the body. 27TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. Sunday 27TH OCTOBER 2024 Our TOPIC: THE GOLDEN RULE. Today's SCRIPTURE: Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7 verse 12. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Treat others the way you would want to be treated. It has been established that having a heart for others is a proof of love. You don’t have love until you have a heart for other people. Now, what does it mean to have a heart for others? Having a heart for others entails what is called the golden rule. That is doing for and with others what we expect others to do for and with us. It means treating others the way we expect them to treat us. It is giving people respect the way we expect others to respect us. It is talking to people the way we want them to talk to us. It is important to consider people the way we want people to consider us. Sometime ago, in one of our church workforce meetings, I asked our church workers that if they travelled to America, England or any other part of the world, and decided to attend a church there as first timers, how would they love to be welcomed into that church? I told them that is the same way, they should welcome people in our church. It was Zig Ziglar who once said, “You can get anywhere in life if you can assist as many people as possible get to where they want.” This is the truth: the fastest way to get anywhere in life is to assist people get to where they want to get to in life. Life is a seed; it is what you sow in people that you will reap in your own life. When you develop a heart for others, people will also develop a heart for you. If you don’t want anyone to talk to you the way you talk to people, then adjust the way you address people. If you talk to people harshly, you would also receive harsh words from people. If you want to be respected, then respect people also. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Remember this: Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Make up your mind never to neglect the people around you. #2. Sow the seed of love, kindness and benevolence in the lives of people; do with people what you expect in return. Yes sir! Our PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to be kind, loving, respectful and loving towards the people around me. Deliver me from every form of arrogance, selfishness and self-centredness, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR Further UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: PILLARS OF CHARACTER (PART 2). QUOTE: There are many in life today whose major problem is not witchcraft but character. They are simply victims of bad character. Culled from the book, “30 Secrets To The Top” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Luke chapter 19 to 21. We start with Luke chapter 19, Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’ But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this to reign over us.’ “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ And he said to him, ‘Well good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’ And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’ Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities.’ “Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’ “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give to him who has ten minas.’ ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. (But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas.’) But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay before me.’ ” When He had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, saying, “Go into the village opposite where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing ’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ” So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?” Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road. Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying:“ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him, and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him. Hallelujah! Luke chapter 20, Now it happened on one of those days, as He taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, that the chief priests and the scribes, together with the elders, confronted Him and spoke to Him, saying, “Tell us, by what authority are You doing these things? Or who is he who gave You this authority?” The baptism of John—was it from heaven or from men?” But He answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, and answer Me: And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.” So they answered that they did not know where it was from. And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.” Then He began to tell the people this parable: “A certain man planted a vineyard, leased it to vinedressers, and went into a far country for a long time. Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that they might give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the vinedressers beat him and sent away empty-handed. Again he sent another servant; and they beat him also, treated shamefully, and sent away empty-handed. And again he sent a third; and they wounded him also and cast out. “Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Probably they will respect when they see him.’ But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’ So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and destroy those vinedressers and give the vineyard to others.”And when they heard it they said, “Certainly not!” Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written:‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’? Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people—for they knew He had spoken this parable against them. So they watched Him, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, that they might seize on His words, in order to deliver Him to the power and the authority of the governor. Then they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, we know that You say and teach rightly, and You do not show personal favoritism, but teach the way of God in truth: Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?”They answered and said, “Caesar’s.” But He perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test Me? And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” But they could not catch Him in His words in the presence of the people. And they marveled at His answer and kept silent. Then some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies, having a wife, and he dies without children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. Now there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and died without children. And the second took her as wife, and he died childless. Then the third took her, and in like manner the seven also; and they left no children, and died. Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife does she become? For all seven had her as wife.” Last of all the woman died also. Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. But even Moses showed in the bush that the dead are raised, when he called the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.” Then some of the scribes answered and said, “Teacher, You have spoken well.” But after that they dared not question Him anymore. And He said to them, “How can they say that the Christ is the Son of David? Now David himself said in the Book of Psalms:‘The said to my Lord,“Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’ Therefore David calls Him ‘Lord’; how is He then his Son?” “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, Then, in the hearing of all the people, He said to His disciples, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.” hallelujah! Luke chapter 21, And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said, “These things which you see—the days will come in which not stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.” So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?” And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am ’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end not immediately.” Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute delivering up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. Therefore settle in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put of you to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But not a hair of your head shall be lost. By your patience possess your souls. “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him. Hallelujah! AMAZING FACT: The human body is made of a trillion cells. 28TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. Monday 28TH October 2024. Our TOPIC: SELFLESSNESS – A PATHWAY TO GREATNESS. Today's SCRIPTURE: And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. JOHN chapter 12 verse 23 to 24, hallelujah Amen! THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Selflessness is a major pathway to greatness and selfishness is the pathway to smallness. Walking in love is a product of mind-set. It is important to realise that a life centred on self is a life settled for small. It is true, both in this world and in the world to come that a life centred on self is a life settled for small. There are many people who wish to be great, but in reality, they cannot be great because they are not ready to do what great people do. They cannot be great because their lives revolve around themselves. No one is great by thinking about himself alone. Selflessness is a major pathway to greatness and selfishness is the pathway to smallness. You don't make any meaningful impact in this life if your life is centred only on yourself. But when you live beyond yourself, you live beyond your size. When you live beyond yourself, you see great results in life that will make people wonder, “Who is the person associated with these great results?” Beloved, when you live beyond yourself, you will also live beyond your time. By the time you have come and gone, your impact remains visible on earth. That was what Jesus meant when he said in John chapter 12 verse 23 to 24: And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. Jesus seemed to have said, “If I face myself, I abide alone. But if I die to self, I bring forth much fruit.” So, a life lived for self or centred on self is a life settled for small. Beloved, be determined never to live a self-centered life if you ever aspire for greatness in life. Remember this: Selflessness is a major pathway to greatness and selfishness is the pathway to smallness. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Refuse to centre your life only on yourself; focus on others also. #2. Ask God to deliver you from any spell of self-centeredness. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from any form of self-centeredness. Help me to be mindful of, and attend to the interests and welfare of others Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! QUOTE: There was a time when I tried to reach out to some people for the purpose of evangelism, but they could not face up, because our character is a rebuke on their carelessness. Culled from the book, “15 Kingdom Strategies For Survival” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Luke chapter 22 to 24. We start with Luke chapter 22, Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people. Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. So he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him to them in the absence of the multitude. Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.” So they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?” And He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters. Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’ Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.” So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. Then He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. But behold, the hand of My betrayer with Me on the table. And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!” Then they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing. Now there was also a dispute among them, as to which of them should be considered the greatest. And He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’ But not so you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. For who greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves. “But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to strengthen your brethren.” But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.” Then He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.” And He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?”So they said, “Nothing.” Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.” So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.”And He said to them, “It is enough.” Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” And while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him. Then Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs? When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Having arrested Him, they led Him and brought Him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed at a distance. Now when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them. And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said, “This man was also with Him.” But he denied Him, saying, “Woman, I do not know Him.” And after a little while another saw him and said, “You also are of them.”But Peter said, “Man, I am not!” Then after about an hour had passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is a Galilean.” But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!”Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So Peter went out and wept bitterly. Now the men who held Jesus mocked Him and beat Him. And having blindfolded Him, they struck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?” And many other things they blasphemously spoke against Him. As soon as it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.”But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will by no means believe. And if I also ask you will by no means answer Me or let go. Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.” Then they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?”So He said to them, “You say that I am.” And they said, “What further testimony do we need? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth.” hallelujah! Luke chapter 23, Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate. And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.” Then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?”He answered him and said, “ you say.” So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.” But they were the more fierce, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.” When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other. Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, said to them, “You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him; no, neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him. (for it was necessary for him to release one to them at the feast). I will therefore chastise Him and release Him” And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”— who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder. Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them. But they shouted, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Then he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go.” But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed. So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested. And he released to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will. Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus. And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ Then they will begin ‘to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!” ’ For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?” There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”And they divided His garments and cast lots. And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.” The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.” And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last. So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!” And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned. But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things. Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member, a good and just man. He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before. That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near. And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment. Hallelujah! Luke chapter 24, Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ” Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. And they remembered His words. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them. But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened. Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. And He said to them, “What kind of conversation this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?” And He said to them, “What things?”So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. And He took it and ate in their presence. Then He said to them, “These the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and Prophets and Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen. Hallelujah! 2ND OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. WEDNESDAY 2ND OCTOBER 2024. Our TOPIC today: GODLY CHARACTER, A LIFTER OF LIFE. Today's SCRIPTURE: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. PROVERBS 14 verse 34. Hallelujah! THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Character is a lifter of men and women. It has been established that one thing that takes a person to high places of authority is godly character. Character is a lifter of men and destinies. Proverbs 14 verse 34 says, Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Sometime ago, I heard that people who want to contest to become president of the United States of America, would be thoroughly screened to ensure they are of quality and godly character. They would assess all areas of their lives. They would verify everything about them, even to their primary schools. They would want to know if the aspirant stole anything, even if it was as tiny as a pencil, while they were primary school pupils. They would want to know if there is a tendency for stealing, corruption or other negative lifestyles in them. This is because whatever made them steal something as tiny as a pencil in primary school could make them steal public money when they are eventually elected. So, people rise up in career, ministry, business, and in life generally by godly character. Beloved, make up your mind to shun ungodly lifestyle if you want to go up in life. Remember this: Character is a lifter of men and destinies. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Refuse to be stranded in life by ungodly character. #2. Ask God to purge you of any ungodly lifestyle that is capable of ruining your life. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Father, I ask that You purge me of every potential negative lifestyle that can ruin my life and destiny. I receive Your Help to reflect Your Image on earth, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR Further UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: PILLARS OF CHARACTER (PART 2). QUOTE: Do not allow any devil to pocket your destiny because you are unable to grasp where you are going. Do not allow any devil to finish you like chicken. Culled from the book, “15 Kingdom Strategies For Survival” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from Zechariah chapter 6 to 8. We start with Zechariah chapter 6, Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze. With the first chariot were red horses, with the second chariot black horses, with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot dappled horses—strong steeds. Then I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” And the angel answered and said to me, “These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth. The one with the black horses is going to the north country, the white are going after them, and the dappled are going toward the south country.” Then the strong steeds went out, eager to go, that they might walk to and fro throughout the earth. And He said, “Go, walk to and fro throughout the earth.” So they walked to and fro throughout the earth. And He called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “See, those who go toward the north country have given rest to My Spirit in the north country.” “Receive the gift from the captives—from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon—and go the same day and enter the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying:“Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH!From His place He shall branch out,And He shall build the temple of the Lord; Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord.He shall bear the glory,And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne,And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” ’ “Now the elaborate crown shall be for a memorial in the temple of the Lord for Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah. Even those from afar shall come and build the temple of the Lord. Then you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And this shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.” hallelujah! Zechariah chapter 7, Now in the fourth year of King Darius it came to pass that the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, on the fourth day of the ninth month, Chislev, when the people sent Sherezer, with Regem-Melech and his men, to the house of God, to pray before the Lord, and to ask the priests who were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and the prophets, saying, “Should I weep in the fifth month and fast as I have done for so many years?” Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, “Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests: ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for Me, for Me? When you eat and when you drink, do you not eat and drink for yourselves? Should you not have obeyed the words which the Lord proclaimed through the former prophets when Jerusalem and the cities around it were inhabited and prosperous, and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?’ ” Then the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘Execute true justice,Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless,The alien or the poor.Let none of you plan evil in his heart Against his brother.’ “But they refused to heed, shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears so that they could not hear. Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear the law and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Thus great wrath came from the Lord of hosts. Therefore it happened, that just as He proclaimed and they would not hear, so they called out and I would not listen,” says the Lord of hosts. “But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they had not known. Thus the land became desolate after them, so that no one passed through or returned; for they made the pleasant land desolate.” hallelujah! Zechariah chapter 8, Again the word of the Lord of hosts came, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; With great fervor I am zealous for her.’ “Thus says the Lord:‘I will return to Zion,And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth,The Mountain of the Lord of hosts,The Holy Mountain.’ “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘Old men and old women shall again Sit in the streets of Jerusalem,Each one with his staff in his hand Because of great age. The streets of the city Shall be full of boys and girls Playing in its streets.’ “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days,Will it also be marvelous in My eyes?’Says the Lord of hosts. “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east And from the land of the west; I will bring them back,And they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. They shall be My people And I will be their God,In truth and righteousness.’ “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘Let your hands be strong,You who have been hearing in these days These words by the mouth of the prophets,Who spoke in the day the foundation was laid For the house of the Lord of hosts,That the temple might be built. For before these days There were no wages for man nor any hire for beast; There was no peace from the enemy for whoever went out or came in;For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor. But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘For the seed shall be prosperous,The vine shall give its fruit,The ground shall give her increase,And the heavens shall give their dew, I will cause the remnant of this people To possess all these. And it shall come to pass That just as you were a curse among the nations,O house of Judah and house of Israel,So I will save you, and you shall be a blessing.Do not fear,Let your hands be strong.’ “For thus says the Lord of hosts:‘Just as I determined to punish you When your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’Says the Lord of hosts,‘And I would not relent, So again in these daysI am determined to do good To Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.Do not fear. These are the things you shall do:Speak each man the truth to his neighbor;Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace; Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,’Says the Lord.” “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘The fast of the fourth month,The fast of the fifth,The fast of the seventh,And the fast of the tenth,Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.’ Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying,“Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord,And seek the Lord of hosts.I myself will go also.” “Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘Peoples shall yet come,Inhabitants of many cities; Yes, many peoples and strong nations Shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem,And to pray before the Lord.’ “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” ’ hallelujah! 3RD OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. THURSDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2024. TOPIC: RUNNING TO FULFILL DESTINY SCRIPTURE: That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. 1st SAMUEL 3 verse 4 to 5. Hallelujah! THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Running is a character of those who fulfil destiny; you must run in order to fulfil destiny. It has been confirmed through Scriptures that people who fulfil destiny are those who handle their lives with a sense of urgency. Running is a character of people who fulfil destiny. You must run in order to fulfil destiny. Let me give you two examples: #1. Prophet Samuel When Samuel heard the call of God, he didn't walk; rather, he ran. 1st Samuel 3 verse 4 to 5 says, That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. High flyers in the kingdom operate with a sense of urgency. Anyone existing in spiritual authority, material prosperity, operates with a sense of urgency. As Samuel laid down before the Ark of the Lord, and God called him, he thought it was Eli calling him, so he ran to meet Eli. #2. Elisha. 1st Kings 19 verse 19 to 20 says, 19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. Verse 20, And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? Elijah found Elisha, and cast his mantle on him, and Elisha ran and followed him. Elisha left his yoke of oxen and ran after Elijah. You see, we live in a generation where people do things casually. It is a generation where people are casual about everything. They drag their feet in every situation, even in situations that require urgency. They put their hands in their pockets as they walk. It is a generation where people want to take everything easy. The truth is, life is never easy for those who take everything easy. Beloved, be determined never to walk through life lazily; run to God; run with God, and run to fulfil destiny. Remember this: Running is a character of those who fulfil destiny; you must run in order to fulfil destiny. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Refuse to walk casually through life with a lazy attitude. #2. Live with a sense of urgency. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Lord, I repent from every attitude of laziness and unseriousness. I receive the grace for speed in life, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR Further UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: EXISTENCE AT THE TOP - THE POWER OF SWIFT ACTION AND MOTION. QUOTE: We must live with the consciousness that we are not just living for ourselves; we are living representatives of a Kingdom, and as such, we should impact as many as we come across. That is the pathway to finding real fulfilment in life. Culled from the book, “21 Foolish Things People Do” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from Zechariah chapter 9 to 11. We start with Zechariah chapter 9, The burden of the word of the Lord Against the land of Hadrach,And Damascus its resting place(For the eyes of menAnd all the tribes of Israel Are on the Lord); Also against Hamath, which borders on it,And against Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. For Tyre built herself a tower,Heaped up silver like the dust,And gold like the mire of the streets. Behold, the Lord will cast her out;He will destroy her power in the sea,And she will be devoured by fire. Ashkelon shall see it and fear;Gaza also shall be very sorrowful; And Ekron, for He dried up her expectation. The king shall perish from Gaza,And Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. “A mixed race shall settle in Ashdod,And I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. I will take away the blood from his mouth, And the abominations from between his teeth. But he who remains, even he shall be for our God,And shall be like a leader in Judah,And Ekron like a Jebusite. I will camp around My house Because of the army,Because of him who passes by and him who returns. No more shall an oppressor pass through them,For now I have seen with My eyes. “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!Behold, your King is coming to you;He is just and having salvation,Lowly and riding on a donkey,A colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim And the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut off.He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea,And from the River to the ends of the earth.’ “As for you also,Because of the blood of your covenant,I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold,You prisoners of hope.Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. For I have bent Judah, My bow,Fitted the bow with Ephraim,And raised up your sons, O Zion,Against your sons, O Greece,And made you like the sword of a mighty man.” Then the Lord will be seen over them,And His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord God will blow the trumpet, And go with whirlwinds from the south. The Lord of hosts will defend them; They shall devour and subdue with slingstones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like basins,Like the corners of the altar. The Lord their God will save them in that day,As the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown,Lifted like a banner over His land, For how great is its goodness And how great its beauty!Grain shall make the young men thrive,And new wine the young women. Hallelujah! Zechariah chapter 10, Ask the Lord for rainIn the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain,Grass in the field for everyone. For the idols speak delusion; The diviners envision lies,And tell false dreams; They comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; They are in trouble because there is no shepherd. “My anger is kindled against the shepherds,And I will punish the goatherds. For the Lord of hosts will visit His flock,The house of Judah,And will make them as His royal horse in the battle. From him comes the cornerstone,From him the tent peg,From him the battle bow,From him every ruler together. They shall be like mighty men,Who tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle. They shall fight because the Lord is with them,And the riders on horses shall be put to shame. “I will strengthen the house of Judah,And I will save the house of Joseph.I will bring them back,Because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside; For I am the Lord their God,And I will hear them. Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man,And their heart shall rejoice as if with wine.Yes, their children shall see it and be glad;Their heart shall rejoice in the Lord. I will whistle for them and gather them,For I will redeem them; And they shall increase as they once increased. “I will sow them among the peoples,And they shall remember Me in far countries; They shall live, together with their children,And they shall return. I will also bring them back from the land of Egypt,And gather them from Assyria.I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon,Until no more room is found for them. He shall pass through the sea with affliction,And strike the waves of the sea:All the depths of the River shall dry up.Then the pride of Assyria shall be brought down,And the scepter of Egypt shall depart. “So I will strengthen them in the Lord,And they shall walk up and down in His name,”Says the Lord. Hallelujah! Zechariah chapter 11, Open your doors, O Lebanon,That fire may devour your cedars. Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen,Because the mighty trees are ruined.Wail, O oaks of Bashan,For the thick forest has come down. There is the sound of wailing shepherds! For their glory is in ruins. There is the sound of roaring lions! For the pride of the Jordan is in ruins. Thus says the Lord my God, “Feed the flock for slaughter, whose owners slaughter them and feel no guilt; those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the Lord, for I am rich’; and their shepherds do not pity them. For I will no longer pity the inhabitants of the land,” says the Lord. “But indeed I will give everyone into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. They shall attack the land, and I will not deliver them from their hand.” So I fed the flock for slaughter, in particular the poor of the flock. I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bonds; and I fed the flock. I dismissed the three shepherds in one month. My soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me. Then I said, “I will not feed you. Let what is dying die, and what is perishing perish. Let those that are left eat each other’s flesh.” And I took my staff, Beauty, and cut it in two, that I might break the covenant which I had made with all the peoples. So it was broken on that day. Thus the poor of the flock, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord. Then I said to them, “If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”, that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter. Then I cut in two my other staff, Bonds, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. And the Lord said to me, “Next, take for yourself the implements of a foolish shepherd. For indeed I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are cut off, nor seek the young, nor heal those that are broken, nor feed those that still stand. But he will eat the flesh of the fat and tear their hooves in pieces. “Woe to the worthless shepherd,Who leaves the flock!A sword shall be against his armAnd against his right eye;His arm shall completely wither,And his right eye shall be totally blinded.” hallelujah! AMAZING FACT: Your blood makes up about eight percent of your body weight. Today's PROPHETIC WORD (and DECLARATION): Receive an impartation of urgency today, in Jesus Name. Amen!89 views -
4TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER 2024. Today's TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD THROUGH HIS WORD. SCRIPTURE: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. PSALM 119 verse 105. Hallelujah! Our THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot follow God correctly until you follow Him through His Word. Today, many people want to serve and follow God, but they neglect His Word. They want to serve God, but they do not prioritize His Word. The truth is, you cannot follow God correctly until you follow Him through His Word. Now, let me give you a practical example of following God through His Word. In the year 2021, we were preparing to go for a crusade in Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria, and suddenly, many things came up in attempts to fight the crusade. First, we heard that there was a resurgence of the COVID-19 Pandemic which would affect the conduct of open air crusades. Second, there were spates of terrorist attacks in the north-eastern part of the country around the season of the crusade, and that would affect the meeting. Third, the crusade date fell on a major holiday of the people of the other religion. So, we have these three strong reasons why we may not go for that crusade. Then my wife asked me, “Are we still going for the crusade?” and I said, “I'm not sure.” This was just 48 hours to the crusade, and I decided to pray about it. While praying, God took me to Psalm 24 verse 7 to 8 which says, Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. And as God brought this Scripture to me, He also whispered to me, “I'm waiting for you there.” This, to me, meant the place was open, and the Lord had already gone ahead. Wow! Then the Lord added, “I am the owner of the universe. I can decide to hold my event anywhere and anytime I want.” Now, to confirm that God went there ahead of us, the crusade ground was filled with people even before opening prayer. That was the first crusade we ever experienced a thing like that. By the time we were through with the crusade, the people of that land said the last time they had anything like that was when Reinhard Bonnke came there for a crusade, which was over ten years earlier. The point is, I followed God through His Word, and we saw the Hand of God. Beloved, to follow God correctly, you must not undermine His Word. Remember this: You cannot follow God correctly until you follow Him through His Word. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Ask God to open your eyes to see the treasures of His Word. #2. Make up your mind to put God’s Word to practice in your life. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: LORD, help me to always hear You clearly from Your Word. I receive the grace to put Your Word to practice, O LORD, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR Further UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: EXISTENCE AT THE TOP - THE POWER OF VISION. QUOTE: There are many people today who are not growing in any way: there is no growth in the study of the Word; no growth in the knowledge of God; no growth in revelation; no growth in information etc. and nothing is growing around them. Culled from the book, “21 Foolish Things People Do” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Zechariah chapter 12 to 14. We start with the book of Zechariah chapter 12, The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. In that day,” says the Lord, “I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.’ In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place—Jerusalem. “The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them. It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves. Hallelujah! Zechariah chapter 13, “In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. “It shall be in that day,” says the Lord of hosts, “that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered. I will also cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to depart from the land. It shall come to pass that if anyone still prophesies, then his father and mother who begot him will say to him, ‘You shall not live, because you have spoken lies in the name of the Lord.’ And his father and mother who begot him shall thrust him through when he prophesies. “And it shall be in that day that every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies; they will not wear a robe of coarse hair to deceive. And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’ But he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a farmer; for a man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.’ “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,”Says the Lord of hosts.“Strike the Shepherd,And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones. And it shall come to pass in all the land,”Says the Lord,“That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die,But one-third shall be left in it: I will bring the one-third through the fire,Will refine them as silver is refined,And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them.I will say, ‘This is My people’;And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ hallelujah! Zechariah chapter 14, Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,And your spoil will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken,The houses rifled,And the women ravished.Half of the city shall go into captivity,But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go forth And fight against those nations,As He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.Yes, you shall flee As you fled from the earthquake In the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the Lord my God will come,And all the saints with You. It shall be one day Which is known to the Lord, Neither day nor night. But at evening time it shall happen That it will be light. It shall come to pass in that day That there will be no light; The lights will diminish. And in that day it shall be That living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, Half of them toward the eastern sea And half of them toward the western sea;In both summer and winter it shall occur. And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be, “The Lord is one,”And His name one. All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses. The people shall dwell in it;And no longer shall there be utter destruction,But Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths. It shall come to pass in that day That a great panic from the Lord will be among them.Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor,And raise his hand against his neighbor’s hand; Judah also will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the surrounding nations Shall be gathered together:Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance. Such also shall be the plague On the horse and the mule,On the camel and the donkey,And on all the cattle that will be in those camps. So shall this plague be. And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. In that day “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts. Hallelujah! Today's PROPHETIC WORD (and DECLARATION): May you be able to hear God clearly at critical times of your life, in Jesus Name. Amen!55 views 1 comment -
7TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. MONDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2024. Our TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF GODLY CHARACTER. Today's SCRIPTURE: And Moses said unto the Lord, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me? NUMBER 11 verse 11. Hallelujah! THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the weight of authority is higher than the strength of character, a crash of destiny is inevitable. It has been established that it takes the strength of character to bear the weight of authority. One reason why godly character is needed is that it takes godly character to bear the weight and responsibility of authority. This means, when the weight of authority is higher than the strength of character, a crash of destiny is inevitable. If someone carries or lifts a weight that is heavier than his strength, a physical bodily crash or breakdown is imminent. So, when the weight of authority is heavier than the strength of character, destiny collapses. This was what happened to Samson. He got authority that he had no weight of character to sustain. His character couldn’t carry the authority he got, so, he crashed instantly. This was what happened to Judas Iscariot also. He was made the keeper of the money in the Ministry of our Lord, Jesus Christ, but he had no character strength to sustain that responsibility. They made him the leader, but he was a thief on the inside. At the end of the day, he hanged himself because he did not have the strength of character to carry that weight of his authority and responsibility. What happened to Judas Iscariot was like making a thief a bank manager. He will soon be in jail because the “thievery” lifestyle in him would push him to becoming a thief. When you make a thief a procurement officer, the chief financial officer (CFO) or the financial controller of an organisation, he will do some accounting frauds. He may escape for a while, but he would be sent to prison eventually. Beloved, develop the right character to fulfil your destiny. Remember this: When the weight of authority is higher than the strength of character, a crash of destiny is inevitable. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Be determined to bear the responsibility of leadership by maintaining a strong character. #2. Maintain and uphold a godly character. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Father, I receive the grace to bear the responsibility of leadership by the strength of godly lifestyle. Help me to be an example of godly character, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: PILLARS OF CHARACTER (PART 2). QUOTE: Your character determines your future with God, both in this world and in the world to come. Culled from the book, “21 Uncommon Keys To Financial Overflow” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Matthew chapter 3 to 5. We start with Matthew chapter 3, In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:‘Prepare the way of the Lord;Make His paths straight.’ ” Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. Then Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” hallelujah! Matthew chapter 4, Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’and,‘In their hands they shall bear you up,Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the your God.’ ” Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee. And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Great multitudes followed Him, from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him. Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Hallelujah! Matthew chapter 5, And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed the poor in spirit,For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed those who mourn,For they shall be comforted. Blessed the meek,For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed the merciful,For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed the pure in heart,For they shall see God. Blessed the peacemakers,For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. “Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery. “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Hallelujah! AMAZING FACT: Your small intestine is taller than you and measures about 23 feet. 6TH OCTOBER 2024 SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS, DR PAUL ENENCHE
Josephat KennedySEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE. SUNDAY 6TH OCTOBER 2024. Our TOPIC of the day: THE WORD AND YOUR CHARACTER. Today's SCRIPTURE: For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. JAMES chapter 1 verse 23 to 25. Hallelujah! THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When people are far from the word, they become terrible in character. It has been established that character is key to destiny fulfilment. Godly character is a foundation or bedrock of destiny. Our anchor Scripture reveals that the Word of God is likened to a mirror. Just as a mirror makes a person to adjust his face and appearance, the Word of God makes a person to adjust his character. When you stand before a mirror, it can show you blemishes or patches on your face or the cloth you wear that needs adjustment. When your hair is not in order, the mirror can show you. So, when you want to know how you look, you stand before a mirror. This is what the Word of God does to a person. If you study the Word, and you don’t do anything to adjust your life, it is like looking at the mirror and walking away without adjusting yourself. The Word of God is the mirror for life. It shows you if you are not praying enough; it shows you if you are talking too much; it shows you if you are telling lies and exaggerating things; it shows you if you are taking things that are not yours; it shows you when you are far from God; it shows you if you are being unequally yoked with unbelievers. And when the Word of God reveals the present state of your life, what you do is to adjust your life. When people are far from the word, they become terrible in character. Beloved, make up your mind to read and obey the Word for your life and character transformation. Remember this: When people are far from the word, they become terrible in character. Take this ASSIGNMENT with you: #1. Bring yourself under the mirror of God’s Word. #2. Make up your mind to adjust your life when the Word reveals what to adjust. Yes sir! Our PRAYER today: Lord, I bring myself under the mirror of Your Word. I ask that You help me to see myself from the Mirror of Your Word so I can adjust my life, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen! FOR Further UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT (Part 1). QUOTE: Many are under time pressure because they have deliberately refused to give direction to time. They cannot specifically say, “I must spend one, two, and maybe, three hours daily, studying God's Word. Nothing can stop it. I must take one, two, or more chapters of the Word of God daily.” Nothing can stop such men. Laziness is not found with such men and failure is not a part of their achievements. Culled from the book, “21 Foolish Things People Do” by Dr Paul Enenche. Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Malachi chapter 4 to Matthew chapter 2. We start with Malachi chapter 4, “For behold, the day is coming,Burning like an oven,And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,”Says the Lord of hosts,“That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked,For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,”Says the Lord of hosts. “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant,Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel,With the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children,And the hearts of the children to their fathers,Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” hallelujah! Matthew chapter 1, The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. and Jesse begot David the king.David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah. Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa. Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. Asa begot Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah. Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah. Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon. And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel begot Abiud, Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor. Azor begot Zadok, Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud. Eliud begot Eleazar, Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus. Hallelujah! Matthew chapter 2, Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ” And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more.” Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.” Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: hallelujah!
