We come to the end of our journey to tell Seymour Guado that he will never gain immortality through the use of either the Chaos Emeralds or the Dragon Balls (both trademarked, copyrighted and not sponsored by me). As we try to slap him with our 500lb sword, the dolphins get upset and demand Barret swear more, which only annoys me and my editor a lot. We're told that this is the point of no return. That once we got to take on President Shinra, there will be no coming back for side quests... Thankfully, we did all those side quests, so we can go beat up Shinra! We just gotta follow the trail of Grape Juice and talk with a certain silver furred anthropomorphic hedgehog. We continue to be Hojo's science experiments as we beat up his other science experiments, with Barret having no clue what the term BULLET PROOF means as he fires blindly at a bullet proof barrier. Flaming Doggo almost got the lab coat maniac, but then magic happened because Hojo's friends with another creature--and we all know what that means... But the only thing that really concerns us is the spilling of grape juice, which we know is the work of none other than the silver hedgehog! We begin Ch.17 with learning about three things. 1: The Pink Pony is a Cetra. 2: The Dolphins are "whispers". And 3: Barret swears WAY TOO MUCH... Seriously, kinda wish you could filter him out with an in-game option. Aside from that, we didn't learn anything, except that my gamer instincts never failed me, and that the left handed antagonist does in fact exist! :0 That's a problem! We round things up in this chapter with finally catching up to Professor Hojo, where he tries to get data on us using a cheap boss battle and some dumb soldiers. Could gets a headache and we free the best character in existence: RED XIII. We also see a "PG-13" style of a "naked" lady, and I'm not comfortable with that, since Cloud calls it "mother". We continue breaking into Shinra H.Q. by riding the escalators, where we learn a certain someone has been helping us. We take a slight detour through a library before going to find a man named Hojo, who is very creepy and I don't ever want to see again (and if I do, it'll be WAY too soon)... We head into Shinra H.Q. with no problems whatsoever and didn't have to stab anyone to do it... Okay, so Barret might has set off a few alarms... and yelled a lot... and I swung my sword at a woman (allegedly)... and Man-Boy-Child fell--but that doesn't mean it didn't go smoothly! However, it all amounts to nothing, as we discover the best part of this games' mechanics and beauty: The Escalator! We are now set for a one way ticket to beat up the evil corporation controlling the city of Midgar known as Shinra. No turning back! Only way is forward, and maybe a little up. Of course, for reasons unknown, Shinra soldiers are blocking our path to taking out their headquarters, so naturally we're going to swing our 500lb sword at them and see which fly off into the distance or just splatter on the floor. We reach the end of Ch.14 of our adventure to find Don Corneo's lacky waiting for us, but he's not match for our 500lb sword! However, he asks us to go into the sewers with him to make use of our 500lb sword against one: Don Corneo, as we learn he's hiding in the depths of the disgusting sludge. We continue our side questing to be taunted by a Tonberry (a very unintimidating but very powerful fiend), then teleport back and forth to talk with a few of The Trio, then another round in the colosseum to get a key to a special stash.
