Russia has warned Israel of dangerous consequences after Israeli air force dropped bombs on targets in Syria. The Russian foreign ministry said that the forceful actions of Israeli military violate Syria's sovereignty and international law. It added that the actions could provoke conflicts in the region. Russia's warning came after Israeli air strikes knocked airports in Damascus and Aleppo out of service. Israel's envoy confirmed the strikes and said they were important to stop the flow of Iranian weapons into Gaza for Hamas militants.
