Lee Ielpi is a member of the FDNy special operations unit, Special Operations Company, Rescue 2. On September 11, 2001, Lee arrived at the World Trade Center within a half hour of the second collapse and assisted to organize operations until midnight of that evening. Harry Waizer an employee for Cantor Fitzgerald was in the elevator of the North Tower when American Airlines Flight 11 slammed into the building causing his elevator to fall which was also on fire.
