Marc Stein On Kevon Looney Rumors:
“There is growing pessimism, league sources say, among teams interested in pursuing Kevon Looney about the ability to pry Looney away from the newly minted champions in Golden State. Looney is increasingly expected to re-sign with the Warriors on a multiyear deal after playing a vital role in their fourth title run in a span of eight seasons.”

San Francisco Chronicle’s Connor Letourneau on Andre Iguodala, “Iguodala has been cryptic about whether he plans to retire. But given how much he struggled to stay on the floor this season, some league sources believe he has played his final NBA game. If he wants to stick with the Warriors as an assistant coach or front-office executive, the organization could find him a role. It seems more likely, though, that Iguodala will spend his retirement working on his various entrepreneurial endeavors.”

Golden State Warriors Draft Targets With #28 Pick In Round 1
The 2022 NBA Draft is just around the corner and the Golden State Warriors have a quick turnaround following their NBA Championship victory over the Boston Celtics. On today’s video, Chat Sports host Harrison Graham will take a look at 5 Warriors draft targets for the #28 pick that Steve Kerr, Bob Myers and company could select to beef up the Warriors 2022-23 roster.
Golden State Warriors Draft Targets:
#1: Christian Braun (G/F, Kansas) - Braun is an excellent athlete who tested well at the NBA Draft combine. Braun is a good 3-point shooter that can also put the ball on the deck and guard multiple positions.
#2: Nikola Jovic (G/F, Serbia) - Jovic, no relation to Nuggets’ star Nikola Jokic, is rising up NBA Draft boards. At 6’9, Jovic plays like a shooting guard, but has the size and length of a power forward. He’s a quality shooter and ball handler, but needs some work defensively.
#3: Jake Laravia (F, Wake Forest) - ESPN’s latest NBA Mock Draft had the Warriors selecting Laravia in Round 1 with the #28 pick. Laravia is a knock-down 3-point shooter and can create for his teammates. He needs to work on his pull-up jump shot, but he has some tools that should translate right away.
#4: Dalen Terry (G/F, Arizona) - Terry is a combo guard/wing type that can play on or off the ball. His jumps shot needs to improve, but he’s shown the ability after shooting 36% for the Wildcats this past season.
#5: Christian Koloko (C, Arizona) - Koloko is one of the best rim protectors in this NBA Draft class and the Warriors have question marks at the center position entering this offseason. Kevon Looney is set to be a free agent and James Wiseman’s future is unknown after missing the past year and a half with a knee injury. Koloko projects to be a backup center that could eventually start if he polishes his game.

Could The Warriors Trade James Wiseman AND Jonathan Kuminga For This Young Star?
Warriors trade rumors are picking up already, and we haven’t even played Warriors vs. Celtics Game 6 in the 2022 NBA Finals! Could the Golden State Warriors trade young pieces in Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman for Raptors wing OG Anunoby, who’s been in the mix on the latest NBA trade rumors? Recent Warriors draft rumors from Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer suggest they’re looking to deal their late 1st round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Finally, with Warriors vs. Celtics highlights only expected to get better as the stage gets bigger, Chase Senior breaks down his keys to victory for the Dubs to close out the NBA Finals. Catch up on all the latest Warriors rumors and news on this edition of Warriors Today by Chat Sports!
#1: Could the Warriors trade the #28 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft? Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report stoked some fire to the Warriors draft rumors with the big night just a few weeks away:
- Dallas and Golden State have expensive rosters that feature players such as Brunson, Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins who are due for paydays. The Mavericks and Warriors are searching for opportunities to acquire future draft capital for those selections, sources said, in the event a coveted player on their boards doesn't fall.
NBA Draft Prospects the Warriors could look at with pick #28:
- Christian Braun (G, KU)
- Christian Koloko (C, ARIZ)
- Jake LaRavia (F, WF)
- Nikola Jovic (G/F, MEGA)
- Jaden Hardy (G, IGNITE)
Should the Warriors trade their 1st round pick? Type ‘T’ for Trade, Type ‘K’ for Keep
#2: Warriors trade rumors: Recent reports have stoked NBA trade rumors on whether a potential OG Anunoby trade could take place, and one anonymous Eastern Conference exec discussed Golden State’s trade chances with Heavy.com’s Sean Deveney:
- He can play three positions, he can guard five positions, he can shoot the three. The Raptors really wanted to build around him but they’re not so sure now … For a long-term replacement on Wiggins, he is perfect. He does a lot of what Wiggins does, maybe a better shooter and a better defender, but not quite the same pure scorer.
Here was the Warriors trade idea discussed:
- Warriors Receive: OG Anunoby (F)
- Raptors Receive: Jonathan Kuminga (F), James Wiseman (C)
Would you make this trade? Type ‘Y’ for Yes, Type ‘N’ for No
#3: NBA Finals Game 6 Preview: Warriors vs. Celtics has brought plenty of excitement so far, and Golden State has a chance to close out the 2022 NBA Finals - here are Chase’s 5 Warriors keys to victory:

- Continue to force turnovers
- Another diversified approach
- Weather the crowd & atmosphere
