2:11 Boot, reboot, and shut down a system normally
4:26 Boot systems into different targets manually
10:53 Identify CPU/memory intensive processes and kill processes
15:32 Adjust process scheduling
19:01 Manage tuning profiles
23:16 Locate and interpret system log files and journals
27:07 Preserve system journals
28:37 Start, stop, and check the status of network services
31:19 Securely transfer files between systems
34:24 Interrupt the boot process in order to gain access to a system
**ERRATA**
I might have hit a bug with systemctl isolate. Once RHCE is over, I'll see if I can replicate it. Also, I mention "load balancing" information being available in top. I meant to say "load average."

RHCE v8 Practice Session: Understand and use essential tools
Welcome to the RHCE v8 Practice Sessions!I'll be covering the "understand and use essential tools" objective in this video. Remember this video not intended to be a tutorial or to give authoritative information; however, I do try to make the information as accurate as possible. This video is a recording of me doing a self-assessment of exam readiness, and hopefully, you'll find it helpful with your own studies.
**Errata**When doing the audio editing for the video, I realized I was speaking incorrectly about inodes during the links section. As long as you have at least one link to an inode, then a file exists. Making hard links **does not** create new inodes, but rather it makes new links to an existing inode.

Everyday Tips for the VI / Vim Text Editor
VI is often called a "difficult to use" text editor. While it can be complicated, using it to do quick edits of text files is quite easy.
This video goes over how I use vi in everyday situations, and I am by no means a master of the editor. Topics include command vs insert mode, saving files, copy / paste, inputting text from commands, and text substitution!
