In this week's episode, we are joined by Emrys Goldsworthy, a luminary in this field who truly connects the dots. We discussed everything about the Vagus Nerve and its connections!
We started the conversation talking about general health, tying in the idea of cytokines and cytokine storms. Then, we delved into a discussion on the vagus nerve and its role in various bodily functions. Emrys eloquently explained its connection to the lungs, digestive organs, and more!
We touched on the notion of dysautonomia, an emerging field. We specified the ideas of low and excessive vagal tone, ensuring that we covered the causes of dysautonomia, ranging from compression to chemical to electrical factors.
Emrys provided insight into why the polyvagal theory is flawed, shedding light on future studies and mentioning Joseph LeDoux.
I asked Emrys about his view on the modern understanding of nerve conduction, a topic briefly covered in our introductory episodes (Episode 4). He explained the workings of nerves concisely through the structured water lens. Lastly, we brought it back to detox, where Emrys touched on the role of microbes, bioremediation, and their connection to the vagus nerve.
This was a brilliant episode that left me motivated to learn more!

Derek Nance on Eating Nose to Tail, Broken Food systems, and the Terrain Model of Health
In this week's episode, we had Derek Nance as our guest! Derek has been on a raw meat diet for 13 years. He practices beyond organic living, harvests his own meat, eats nose to tail, and relies heavily on instinct and intuition for direction.
We started the conversation off by discussing the parameters of navigating the complicated field of what truly is healthy and how that has changed over time. The conversation flowed into discussing the interfering factors of health and how connecting to nature allows us to avoid these. We discussed how nose-to-tail eating, harvesting your own food, and connecting with your food source can help in connecting with nature. This snowballed into discussing the backward food system from farm to table. We continued the discussion talking about the environmentalism movement and how many are taken advantage of because of their big hearts and steered in the wrong direction.
In the second half of the discussion, we turned to talk about microbes, which included true sources of disease, pleiomorphism, what symptoms are, and how suppressing them leads to further disease. We finished with a few notes on the transhumanist agenda, which opened a short discussion on the necessity for struggle as humans and how comfort can be a trap!
I hope you enjoy the episode!

Moving on to the Terrain perspective on modern scientific theories, definitions, and functions, we will delve into the nuances of contemporary science. We will present alternative explanations and viewpoints that have been excluded from the mainstream narrative. From a Terrain perspective, we will explain what viruses are, how the immune system functions, the role of diet, parasites, and much more.
Finally we explore some commonly known pandemics and epidemics, which are often modern sciences scapegoats. These include, the Spanish flu, Polio, AIDS, Covid and more!

The Fall of the Germ - History of the Terrain (Part 1)
In this week's episode, we delve deep into the fascinating history of the Tarrain model of health, unearthing concepts like Bioterrain medicine, pleomorphism, and the microzyma. We unravel the groundbreaking theories, discoveries, and observations of eminent scientists such as Antoine Béchamp, Günther Enderlein, Gaston Naessens, and many more whose findings support the Terrain model of health.
Moreover, we scrutinize the limitations of conventional cell biology, shedding light on the innovative perspectives proposed by visionaries like Gilbert Ling, Harold Hillman, and Gerald Pollack. Their ideas challenge established norms in biology and pave the way for a new era in cellular understanding.
By delving into this historical context, we lay the foundation for part two, where we will explore concrete approaches to new biological theories and natural healing methods, all centered around the terrain approach. I hope you enjoy the episode!

Rise of the germ - History of the Germ Theory
In today's episode, we essentially put the germ theory to rest. We delve into the history of the germ theory and explore the contributions of key scientists. Additionally, we shed light on the numerous fallacies that burden it. We also cover the establishment of the American Medical Association, the Flexner Report, and why the two wealthiest individuals in the mainstream world at the time were so involved in medical and public school curriculums. This, in turn, highlights how the germ theory prevailed, despite it being an incorrect approach.
Furthermore, we break down Koch's postulates and explain why they have never been met in real-life situations. We examine why viral filtration does not constitute isolation, and how bacterial isolation falls short of true isolation as well. We touch on the shortcomings of electron microscopy, pharmacology and discuss how the scientific literature has become polluted. We hope you enjoy the episode!
