Official figures show that exports fell by 14.5% in July compared with a year earlier, while imports dropped 12.4%.
The grim trade figures reinforce concerns that the country's economic growth could slow further this year.

Imran Khan ex prime Minister live interview - interesting news bbc
In a live interview with former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, he addressed two critical century cases that shaped his political journey and governance.
The first century case revolves around his commitment to eradicating corruption from the nation. Imran Khan, a renowned cricketer, took up the role of a politician to challenge the deeply ingrained corrupt practices in Pakistani politics. He pledged to build a "Naya Pakistan," a new Pakistan, based on transparency, accountability, and meritocracy. Throughout his tenure, he implemented comprehensive reforms, establishing anti-corruption mechanisms, and promoting a culture of accountability at all levels of government. His relentless pursuit of accountability led to the prosecution of several high-profile politicians and bureaucrats involved in corrupt practices, setting a precedent for future leaders.
The second century case is centered on his vision for economic growth and development. Imran Khan aimed to revitalize the Pakistani economy and improve the living standards of its citizens. He prioritized investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, recognizing the pivotal role they play in the nation's progress. Through strategic partnerships with international investors and prudent fiscal policies, he sought to attract foreign direct investment and bolster economic growth. Despite facing numerous challenges, he remained steadfast in his commitment to uplift the socio-economic condition of Pakistan.
Throughout the interview, Imran Khan emphasized the importance of perseverance, integrity, and visionary leadership in shaping the destiny of a nation. He acknowledged that these century cases represent only a fraction of the challenges faced during his tenure, but they symbolize the transformative potential of principled governance and strong leadership in bringing about positive change.
