Superchargers vs. Turbos - Learn How They Work
The basic function of both superchargers and turbos is to deliver more air to an engine's internal combustion process.
The main distinction between the two is this, superchargers are mechanically powered, often by connection to the engine crankshaft.
While turbos are powered by engine exhaust gas.

Turbocharger How it Works
https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/product-category/air-and-fuel/superchargers-turbochargers-and-components/turbochargers/
How does a turbocharged car engine work?
Air can either enter the engine under the influence of atmospheric pressure at the moment when the piston moves and increases the volume of the chamber,
or be supplied with the help of a special compressor.
In the second scenario, there will be more oxygen in the engine, and therefore it will be able to produce more power.

Learn the Symptoms of a Bad Purge Valve
The purge valve is part of the evap system.
Its purpose is to open up and transfer fuel vapors from the charcoal canister and into the engine where it gets burned off in the combustion chamber.
This helps reduce emissions and increases your miles per gallon.
If you would like a purge valve, please contact us with your make, model, and year at https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/contact-us/.

LEARN THE SYMPTOMS OF A BAD KNOCK SENSOR
https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/product/sensor-knock/
The purpose of the knock sensor is to send the signal to the ECM when it senses unwanted vibrations in the engine.
https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/product/valley-pan-cover-low-pro-knock-sensor-delete/
For example, if there's an engine knock, which basically means there's an extra mini detonation after the spark plug ignites, the knock sensor will read this vibration, create an ac voltage and send it to the ECM.

How to Calculate Your Rear Gear Ratio
https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/
In this video I will show you how to calculate the rear gear ratios in your rear end without taking anything apart, just jacking up the rear wheels. So what we did here was put a piece of tape on the rear tire right here, and a piece of painters tape over here an the fender, to mark the location of the tire.
What we're going to do is we're going to go one full revolution all the way around and end up back exactly with these tape marks lined back up.

LEARN THE SYMPTOMS OF A BAD CV AXLE
Today we're going to learn the symptoms of a bad CV axle, some people call them half shafts.
The purpose of the CV axle is to transfer power from the engine to the wheels, allow wheels to flex when turning left and right, and also move up and down for suspension purposes. Please contact us on CV Axles for specific vehicle models and fitment. https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/contact-us/
LEARN HOW TO TEST AN ALTERNATOR
If your car has smart charging then this test won't apply to you.
The purpose of the alternator is to charge the battery and run electrical components in your car. In order for this to happen your car has to be on.
Now before we can test an alternator we have to test the battery first ensure it's not faulty, because if the battery is faulty the alternator test won't be valid.

Number one problem that we run into sometimes is idling problems. If you have any idling problem where the air fuel mixture screws right here no matter which way you turn them don't do anything, then it probably means that the idle circuit inside the carburetor is dirty. How to Fix Idling Hesitation and Stumbling - Normally Aspirated Carburetor
https://uzbasicmotorsports.com/
Now some people can run into problems on large cubic-inch engines, where you're driving down the road and you give it a throttle and you have a hesitation. What that usually is, is the accelerator pump that's located right inside the carburetor here and what that is that's a plunger, so every time you give it throttle you'll see this linkage move and what that does is that squirts fuel inside the carburetor. We're going to learn the symptoms of a bad voltage regulator.
The purpose of the voltage Regulator is to prevent the alternator from under charging or overcharging the battery.
This helps keep your battery charged to start your car.
It also prevents battery damage from overcharging.
In most cars the location of the voltage regulator is either attached to the alternator or inside of it.

Fire Suppression Install Video
Fire Suppression Systems
When it comes to race safety, it doesn’t pay to take chances.
Stuff like harnesses, roll bar padding, ignition cutoff switches, and fire suppression systems may not be glamorous, but your life may well depend on them. That’s why we’re going to give you some handy tips on how to choose and install a fire suppression system in your race vehicle.
Many race sanctioning bodies require some type of fire suppression system. If yours doesn’t, we’d still recommend you have one if you’re running something faster than a 14-second bracket car.
The key is choosing the right one for your application.
Start by looking at your race sanctioning body and class rules. Are you required to have a fire suppression system on-board? Does it need to be SFI or FIA certified? And what are the specific requirements for mounting, bottle size, and chemical agent type?
Choosing Your Agent
The most widely used agents in fire suppression systems are:
Dupont FE36: This is DuPont’s SFI-approved replacement for Halon. Unlike Halon, it doesn’t contain any ozone-depleting chemicals and has a lower toxicity than Halon. FE36 offers similar performance to traditional Halon, but it takes quite a bit more FE36 to do the job. For that reason, you may need to use a larger extinguisher bottle compared to a Halon system. Still, many manufacturers are moving to the FE36 agent, which is also friendly to electronics. Please fell free to email us at support@uzbasicmotorsports.com and we will be more then happy to assist you with your questions and find you a system most suited for your application.
